Vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE) recently spoke with "The Hairball John Radio Show" regarding his involvement in the HEAVEN AND EARTH project featuring Stuart Smith as well as his recent solo disc.

Joe Lynn Turner: "Right now I am very excited because I have just released a new CD in Europe and Japan which is soon to be released here in the U.S. called 'The Usual Suspects' and I am getting nothing but rave reviews."

Hairball John: Do you have any plans of doing some U.S. dates in support of "The Usual Suspects"?

Joe Lynn Turner: "Yeah, we're doing it, John, we are sneaking around here. Karl Cochran [guitar] called me and said, 'Look, if I put the band together would you be into it?' And I said, 'You know what, sure, let's do it.' I am sick and tired of saying no. I really want to do this, and and I think we could start out with a couple clubs and just do the weekend warrior thing to see how it feels. I am really trying to set up tours with Europe, Japan, Russia and so on and go out for six to eight weeks. So we are going to put our foot in the (U.S.) water and if this works we will come back and start to do something full-blown with a tour bus."

Hairball John: It has been a long time since you have toured here in the States.

Joe Lynn Turner: "You know it’s crazy. Here I am a U.S. guy, a Jersey guy, and I do all my playing overseas. It's crazy. So it’s time that we start rockin' in the U.S. and I just urge everyone to get up off the couch and go out and have fun. Let's do this rock and roll thing. You are never too old to rock and roll — come on out!"

Joe Lynn Turner can be seen live on June 9 at The Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, NY and on June 16 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey.

THIS IS FUN,,,IT'S LIKE PLAYING MR.POTATO HEAD WITH GLENN.

As long as Glenn doesn't shave his head, get multiple piercings and tattoo's,grow dreadlocks, wear a crazy devo-style hat or start playing his bass down around his knee's!!!!

Wow....I am almost pissed off !!!!

I am not used to DIO bashing !!!!

Most everybody I know personally and for that matter have ever known for any length of time thinks DIO kicks ass....

Granted MAGICA was no masterpiece, but I have really enjoyed at least half of the songs on these latest albums.

I have seen DIO live many times and will continue to do so,because the guy puts on one hell of a show, his voice is as good as ever, and as Mark H. stated earlier he genuinely cares a great deal about his performance level and gives 110%.

Not to mention his deep love of his fans, this guy is a true gentleman and a rock and roll icon.

On this last tour when he did STARGAZER.I was floored.

Anyway, bottom line is everybody has an opinion, but judging by the thousands around me at the live shows,RONNIE still has the goods !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:mad:

New York, NY (March 23, 2005) -- Legendary guitarist Rod Price, founding member of the blues boogie band Foghat passed away on March 22,2005 at the age of 57 in Wilton, New Hanpshire. Price sustained a massive head trauma in an accidental stairway fall.
