I will so look forward to reading this book when the paperback is out there. In the meantime, I've been told that Keith Richards' book is awesome so will be buying that at the weekend. Any of you read that one? Can you recommend any other autobiographies (the only thing I do read really)? My favourite read (still) is Nikki Sixx' The Heroin Diaries.

I've just received an extremely heartfelt message from geosoulberlin, a new young lady on the forum, about my recent cancer surgery. You will never know just how much your private message meant to me Heidi - you don't know me but made the effort to find out about me ... my faith on here is restored.

I only ever sang in a band way back when, and the closest I got to playing (acoustic) guitar was when I was 16. I had no patience then and thought I could just pick it up and play like Cat Stevens ... more like an alley cat.

I'll just watch the experts instead
