Pity they didn't film the now infamous backstage shenanigans between the festival organisers and Blackmore (glad they didn't film Hughes' helicopter ride in though)!!!

Such was Tommys hunger for experimentation and his innovative style if he were alive and kicking today I really can't imagine what he'd be up to musically. The closest I can get is Robert Plant and his constant urge to explore new musical cultures and horizons.

Sorry but I fail to see the point!

Seen it and loved it ... My goodness that man has mellowed! Strange thing he said about Glenn though.... He liked the man but didn't care for his high range singing .... Did he and the rest of DP not check Glenn out in Trapeze prior to offering him the DP job?

The MiE intro to 'You Fool No One' when Mr Paice opens the song and the band kicks in ..... Far better than anything on MiJ.

Alas I agree with 'toadsterama'...... PMO .... far from being my favourite album.

By all the accounts of those who came into contact with Mel, as was the case with Jon Lord, the consensus of opinion appears to be he was that rare breed of musician that seldom exists in such a questionable industry .... a gentleman!

Without intending to advocate Glenn's use of illicit substances I certainly don't think they impaired his voice at all. I think 'This Time Around' is his finest hour!!

You Are The Music ..... No doubt!

I'd love to see that OGWT footage!

I'm intrigued! What year would this have been made?
