Had been listening to Deep Purple before on copied tapes.
The first ones I bought were In Rock, Machine Head and Made In Japan, on all cassette, in 1989. -

Good call from Bonham senior there. More than 42 years have passed since that interview and (at least Glenn-era) Trapeze tunes still sound as fresh and exciting as any of the amazing music written in the 70's. Timeless stuff.
Agree. I used to like Medusa a lot better than You Are The Music, but I've been listening to the latter a lot recently and love it. To think that there's still people thinking that "crossover" between hard rock and funky was invented in the 90s... -
I like Glenn's song, but David's Money To Burn is simply amazing. One of his best tracks ever, in my opinion.

My favorite Mark III Live album. Best version of Burn ever, for my tastes!

Video Killed The Radio Stars. But I can change my mind very often on this matter

Love this interview too!

Of all the Coverdale/Hughes era DP remasters/remixes, I think Come Taste The Band is by far the best one.
Burn and Stormbringer are big disappointments to be. I would have loved to hear Mistreated the way Coverdale and Hughes intended, with the big vocals at the ending, before Ritchie came and decided that his (amazing) solo would be in the spotlight. -
I always wondered if GH has heard Gillan's version of Living For The City and what he thinks of it

It works fine here, too.
