well mr. bluebassman, not being a 'bassman'.....I would've noticed any 'bass drops'........:D
If I was listening in Analog rather than Digital, I probably wouldn't have noticed it either. I love Glenn's bass playing and the way it flows so smoothly, so I listen fairly closely

I believe Afterglow is the best of the 3 studio BCC releases. And I believe the production is the best of the 3.
However, I want to know if anyone else noticed how the bass drops out at the 2:13 time mark of THE CIRCLE, just before the 2nd verse. I'm thinking, was this part of the song ? ...or was it a production mishap ? I didn't think it was from Glenn's bass playing.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else noticed it as well ?
If it wasn't for that 1 second dropout, I would have have THE CIRCLE as possibly the best track on the CD (but, that's all subjective on my part).
Still love Afterglow !!!
Happy Thanksgiving for you from the US ! -
Welcome....I'm new to the forum too !

In the Blackmore-Night interview, I believe RB mentioned that he doesn't even have any of the DP recordings from the day (except for the gold plated ones on a plaque). It would be a real shocker if he showed up. He just isn't interested in wasting his time in the past - unless you consider the Renaissance period past.

Thanks for posting the Blackmore-Night interview. This brings back memories. I remember seeing Rainbow on Mar-6, 1997 at an old converted ballroom in Milwaukee called 'The Rave' (still doing concerts). The acoustics were terrible for this small venue (lots of concrete & plaster). I remember a Teac real-to-real running in front of Richie during the show.
TheSet list included: Spotlight Kid, Long Live Rock'N'Roll, Mistreated, Wolf to the Moon, Difficult To cure, Still I'm Sad, Man on the Silver Mountain, Black Masquerade, Since You've Been Gone, Perfect Strangers, and ending with BURN.
Lineup was Blackmore/White/Smith/Morris/Miceli.
I didn't remember all this, the songs and lineup I retrieved from this site:

Thanks for the memories -
I listen to Afterglow, over-and-over, ...and it just keeps getting better !
Excellent review, short - but, accurate -

It's great to have all these great fans and shared knowledge Glenn, DP, Trapeze, and more ! -

Thanks David,
I'm new to the forum, but still looking forward to seeing Jason, this Tuesday (Nov-20), in Milwaukee.
I think it's the last stop on his current tour.
Can't wait - Whoo-Hoo ! -
