I haven't been here for awhile - but, still following Glenn.
Great show last night in St Charles, IL.
It was also great to see and meet Johnnie Bolin!
Posting some picks from the show. -
I read on Twitter that Glenn has some new things coming up.
Is it possible he will be joining Julian Lennon for some new music ?
Possibly part of a new album recording ?
It is always fun to speculate!! -
I need to go there
Please GO!!!!!!
And don't forget to give a full report.... on Glenn, that is !http://www.glennhughes.com//ww…com/pin/create/extension/

These is weirdness in these posts on Twitter and Facebook. Not too fan friendly or informative.
Just a blunt message?
Makes me wonder... is it true ?http://www.glennhughes.com//ww…com/pin/create/extension/

Welcome pb4ueat!
Nice to have more GH fans aboard! -
Glenn sounds great, but I just don't like Myles vocal style at all.
I definitely agree! After Glenn's voice, I'm not real partial to listening to Myles. I respect his efforts and energy, but, I'm not drawn to his vocal style.
But, I feel thankful that Glenn and California Breed was able to get this tour off and running! ...and I give Myles thanks and respect for his efforts in helping California Breed get out the door -
Yvonne and Sigurd, thank you for the great reviews from these 2 shows.
I almost wish I would have seen Glenn and California Breed in a smaller venue, but, they are good anywhere!
Interesting about the lack of vocal clarity at times. I noticed when I'm at concerts and sitting up-front, many times I will not hear the PA (especially vocals) very well. The sound folks tend to project them farther out into the crowd. I noticed this dramatically when I saw Black Star Riders this summer (I was standing right in front of Ricky Warwick and I could barely hear him! Ha!
I'm hoping after the UK tour, there will be some discussion as to what will be the next step with California Breed. I want it to continue!
Yvonne, so sorry you didn't meet Glenn afterwards, I understand how difficult it can be, even with the smaller crowds and how waiting in the cold can be a killer! Also, thanks for trying with the posters - I appreciate your efforts! -
I remember Glenn said that this was written with another artist in mind........sadly, my mind can't remember if 'that artist' was revealed
Can anyone help please??
Wikipedia gives credit to Glenn Hughes and JJ Marsh...

Got an e-mail from Wizard Promotions today, who are responsible for the tour here. In case they have some spare posters, they will contact me again. This may take a few days
Wow! If they get back to you with more - let me know and I'll reimburse appropriately!

Was it a younger crowd? Maybe they have even never heard of Deep Purple...
Several clips of the show at the Starland Ballroom can be found on this YT channel.

... I know when he was in the middle of his solo in Spit You Out, he ran into some technical difficulty - I'm not sure if it was the pedal, guitar connection, or the guitar, but, he cut out and had to change something (I think the guitar?). But, he pulled it through!
Listening to the concert, after Spit You Out, Andrew says...
'F*ckin pedalboards!'
So I assume something got messed up with his effect board during that solo! -
Awesome pics, Blue, well worth the freezing!
Really happy for you that you've finally met Glenn. You should have told him it was you talking to him, Glenn remembers the names of the posters on here as I found out during the BCC tour
So what about Andrew - is he the new Ritchie Blackmore, any smashed guitars?
Thanks for the response - Yvonne,
I find Andrew to be full of energy and fun to watch, up on stage! He is a true entertainer and when he starts to dance, spin and twirl his 'lions mane', it adds a great deal of excitement to the show!
No, he is not like Ritchie and I don't believe he would smash a guitar. He was playing his trusted Gibson SG and I noticed he also played a Nash Tele. There were a few others he played as well. I know when he was in the middle of his solo in Spit You Out, he ran into some technical difficulty - I'm not sure if it was the pedal, guitar connection, or the guitar, but, he cut out and had to change something (I think the guitar?). But, he pulled it through! Also in Spit You Out, Glenn sang parts of the chorus (alone) with his super high falsetto! I loved it !!http://www.glennhughes.com//ww…com/pin/create/extension/
