Sad news indeed.
I exchanged a few emails with Peter about 10 years ago, and in 2002 Peter eventually met with Glenn, Mel Galley and Tony Perry at a London gig.
The Hooker Lees' first ever public performance was in the living room of Peter Hanysz' sister best friend Eve, it was her 14th birthday.
It was the very beginning of lots of music to come.

It was a great show and a good crowd. It was my third BCC gig already, I am getting spoiled. I bumped into to GH Forum fans from Bruxelles, it was the Marchall family I believe. Forgive me when I make a spelling error here.

Now if you check that "Jam" video at 1:11 mins, you will hear a bit of Billy Cobham's Stratus.

Hi guys,
Glenn's BCC interview made it to the cover story at this month's Music Maker in Holland:
Also see the BCC image on their homepage: www.musicmaker.nl

Nice one - thanks John & David!

Hi Ken, Marcelo! & Strat 335 - thanks for the kind replies! Cool.

Hey Marc! Didn't know you played either... great. I've heard about Carvin. Sounds like you're a real shredder! I have an old Washburn N2 and a fairly new Gibson SG. When I grow up I defintely need a Strat
cheers!

Playing Man In The Middle on my guitar. It's a drop-D tuning which makes it sounds very dark. Very Iommi, very Soundgarden if you lke. The riffing is pretty easy actually and it goes something like this:
Black Country Communion - Man In The Middle
Tuning drop-D
main riff/intro:
e|----------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------|
D|-0-2-2-2-0--0-2-2-0-2-2-0-|
A|-0-2-2-2-0--0-2-2-0-2-2-0-|
D|-0-2-2-2-0--0-2-2-0-2-2-0-|
(repeat)
breakdown before chorus:
e|--------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------|
D|-8--7--5--7-5-2-2-0--8--7--5--7-5-2--|
A|-8--7--5--7-5-2-2-0--8--7--5--7-5-2--|

Not sure if this is officially confirmed yet, but take a look:

Looks like BCC will throw in some romance by playing this cozy open air theater near Antwerp in Belgium!

Found the above two songs as well.
It's not Tommy Bolin but Mel Galley.
I agree, they're sometimes hard to distinguish
1. "Changes in Love" in fact is a take of Chances as appeared on the first Trapeze album. The sound on this song is pitched a little too fast actually.
2. "Out on the Road" is a bluesy take from the Play Me Out period that features (ao) Mel Galley and Dave Holland.
Further info unknown...

Going thru my archive, I came across this picture of GH, taken in Heino,
where the infamous bootleg 'Funky Business' comes from:

This one I took pretty straight after the show.

Hi,
Mike Porcaro is releasing a live album in memory of his brother Jeff.
It was recorded in Koblenz, Germany in late March 2002 and features Glenn on some songs (among others: Hendrix' 'Manic Depression and Al Green's 'Let's Stay Together'). I believe Glenn also joined the all-star band with Rosanna and Africa.
The album will be released in Japan first.

Hello,
Anyone going to attend the Nottingham show on Sep 29th? I will be arriving in London that day around 17:30 hrs and was wondering if there would be a way to make it to that show.
thanks,

Here's a scan guys!

Dutch fans; better buy HP/De Tijd magazine this week. It has a four page article on Glenn Hughes/BCC. Glenn goes really all the rock 'n roll way in the article, making it a great read!
The name of the article: The Wonder Throat of Glenn Hughes.

Glenn is in Madrid doing press for BCC. I was listening to the interview on Spanish RNE Radio 3, which was fun. They played some stuff from the new album and it sounded very good.
Then it was announced Glenn would do something live so I quickly grabbed my iphone and put it against a speaker and taped it. It's Medusa, with a nice Ronnie James Dio / Rainbow tribute at the end of it.
Hope you'll like it.
cheers
