Mid August 1973 - David Coverdale joins Deep Purple. Obviously Jon Lord is pleased what he gets to hear.

The hairstyle reminds me of Hughes/Thrall times. Frankly, if you ask me, Glenn's pipes never sounded better than they do these days!
setlist:
Burn
Muscle and blood
A right to live
Coast to coast
This time around
Gettin' tighter
You keep on moving
Smoke on the water

The inclusion of Glenn in the band added a dimension to it.
After quite a long time, we finally get to hear what David Lowy has been doing the last few months and what he thinks about the new album.

Glenn Hughes: “He wasn’t nimble with his feet; he was falling over a lot.”
Greg Prato has published excerpts from his book about Tommy Bolin.

Apart from doing regular 'pyjama jams' (sometimes with the assistance of his daughter ;)), Doug Aldrich recently conducted this great interview with Rockfile Radio.
Subjects were Glenn joining the band, writing process in France, effects of the Corona crisis on the band and not being able to tour, plans for the future and the current protest marches. Still no news about the release date of the new album.
To me, Doug seems like one of the most easy-going interview partners you could wish for -

Hughes will be making his live debut with the band at the online event.
Subject to final official confirmation of course...
Food Festival "Taste of Syracuse", New York, have announced a virtual edition this year with the partaking of The Dead Daisies live via Facebook on June 6th.

Now I wonder if the band members will contribute from their respective homes or if they will meet somewhere on a stage with enough space for social distancing.
How are the travel regulations in America, David, are you allowed to cross borders? So far Germany is still "locked in" to all other European countries until at least the beginning of June in some cases. -

Let's hope that all the clubs mentioned here will make it until the next year. They haven't had any income for months and will be closed until only God knows when.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for the "We'll be back" tour. -

How I would love to see him and Glenn live on stage... -

What a lovely interview with Glenn being so open and relaxed at home.
Talking about hairdressers: Don't worry about one or the other grey hair, Glenn, sooner or later we're all getting them.
Taking a walk without wearing a mask is very much OK from my point of view. We all want to stay healthy. And how can you fill your lungs with fresh air when you have that bloody piece of cloth in front of your mouth?
Thank you for the upload, David -

USA 1975 - Jon Lord, lost in music, while Glenn, bathed in sweat, needs a drink to cool down.
Terrific moment captured by Jeffrey Mayer. -

Hello wolfy, old house
Congrats on your birthday!
Long time no hear. Hope that you and your family are doing well and that you've banned Corona from your home, be it the beer or the virus.
Take care

Today the German Government decided that no major events and concerts will take place until at least August 31st 2020.
For me that means one ticket for the Purps ...whooosh! one ticket for the Daisies ...whooosh!
I have expected this decision and still...
At least bands and tour promoters can plan ahead now and find new schedules for a hopefully better 2021.
Stay home, stay safe everyone! -

David Coverdale, whose second name I bet must be "His Naughtiness" is home waiting for his operation, hoovering the house, and feeling so bored that he is twittering as if he's being paid for it - such as
