Not good, not good at all.
The silence from Glenn Hughes on this is deafening.
Perhaps he should just tour under his name only since keeping an intact band together for the purpose of touring is damn near impossible.
This truly waters down the whole California Breed experience.

Tix for NY
Seeing them 2 times in six months time.
Shame they can't headline though.
Also it should be noted I'm seeing Winery Dogs 10 miles away from the Cali Breed show in NY however the Dogs will be headlining in a small club and playing a much longer set. -

So I went to one of the best rock shows ever last sat night at the Gramercy and am now left wondering??
Is this record going to die a slow death since that is it for tour dates till the fall???
Will the lack of momentum kill the word of mouth about his band???
Love album, love the shows, but I think inactivity will not be kind to the bands future prospects. Hope I am mistaken. -

I'm simply going to paste and copy a review of the record from Joe B's web site forum. Speaks volumes coming from a Joe B fanboy.
Dknight16QuoteI've only had one spin through the CD so far, but it's very, very good. As usual for Glenn, the songs are great. Glenn knows how to write even if he reaches into the cliche lyric box from time to time. It also has it's unrestrained Glenn vocal moments. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea here, but I like his style, and it's not like he goes over the top all of the time. As I've said before, Glenn is a total freak of nature to have that kind of power and vocal range through this long career. It's simply amazing to me. Only last vocal note: the vocal harmonies are terrific on several songs. I need to read the liner notes to see who it is. Sounds too high to be Jason.
Andrew Watt, the guitarist, has totally exceeded my expectations. I was afraid this was going to be artsy/quirky/funky and it is not. More like BCC pushed a bit harder. Andrew's guitar tone is more overdriven than I expected. I always wished Joe had dirtied up his tone a bit for BCC to set it apart from his blues stuff. But this is more than that. Since I'm a hard rock guy at heart, it certainly works for me and perhaps a lot of others here as well.
I totally recommend this for the rock guys here or anyone who has followed Glenn. This is not BCC 2.0. It's more like the next Glenn thing. Just get passed the over the top Glenn vocals on track one and you will be rewarded. -

Posted my review on Amazon.
Simply a torrid, all encompassing masterpiece. -

I seldom post, but got me a pair of tix, looking forward to a great show.

Pretty transparent that On Joe B's message board there is a ton of hate aimed at Glenn and his new band .
Pretty transparent to me that there are rave reviews coming from everywhere for Cali Breed except from the Bonamassa crowd.
And pretty telling that there are no Joe B threads here to be found. -

Tony Conleys review of CB is eerily the exact same review he gave to BCC Afterglow.
If I recall, he alluded to both Aerosmith and Led Zep comparisons on both records and stated that both records were the best that Glenn Hughes have performed on.
Strange. -

I feel like I may be the only one, but as much as I like BCC 1 and 2, I find myself enjoying Soul Mover and Music For The Divine as much and to be honest ,probably more so than BCC 2.
I find BCC2 to be an awfully good record so I am not slagging it in the least. -

Anxiously awaiting Black Country but another delicious supergroup would be Glenn and the boys from Aerosmith.
Putting Glenn in to front Aerosmith with Tyler laid up for a year and a half would be certifiably awesome. He would put the funk and rock in that band the way they used to be before Tyler fell in love with being a pop star. -
