For me the two best are the first and the second. The production of the first is somewhat thin (Cozy Powell’s drums could have more power), but Glenn’s singing is superb. Best song “Still the Night”

The album is recently out on vinyl again. Blue marblelised vinyl I suppose
-
My list of favoirite bass players:
-Paul MCartney
-Glenn Hughes
-Lemmy RIP
-Dusty Hill RIP
-
Beatles would be the best, but that’s not possible. Second I should say Rainbow with Dio and that’s not possible too.
Third I like to see the Glenn Hughes band again with JJ Marsh on guitar, that would be great

Hi David,
Congratulations with the new Glenn Hughes Fan Forum. Looks good on my mobile
-
Sounds very heavy. I think Tommy fits better in this music than Deen. The sound of Tommy is more basic and hard hitting. He was good enough for Sabbath, so he is for the Daisies.

I wrote that some of Glenn’s records have become expensive: in fact the prices are higher than I mentioned. California Breed on yellow vinyl are doing prices over € 200,00 and the purple vinyl of Resonate over € 150,—. They are both two favourites of mine, in Glenn’s rich catalogue.

These limited editions become expensive in a few years. For instance California Breed (yellow vinyl) and Resonate (Purple vinyl) are now
around € 80,— ! -
On March 14, 2021 Andrew Watt (Glenn’s guitarplayer in California Breed) has won an important Grammy: “Producer of the year”. The guy is doing great.

The rescheduled Amsterdam show is cancelled again and there will be no new date for later this year (fall or winter) or 2022.
-
Graspop 2021 postponed to 2022. So it’s seems that this is the beginning of the cancelation of the Daisies summer tour, unfortunately.
-
Deen is a good drummer. I’ve seen him with Journey. I think his style (technical and solistic) fits better in Journey than the Daisies.
New drummer seems to be Tommy Clufetos, the last Black Sabbath drummer. Tommy was before in the Daisies in 2015. I’ve seen him in Amsterdam with them as a support for Kiss. Tommy fits real good in the Dead Daisies: a good hard hitting rock drummer. Deeno is good, but so is Tommy: let’s rock! Hope to see them in Amsterdam 2022! -
Sounds solid, but I prefer Glenn solo, because of more diversity in styles. I like to see the Daisies live in 2022, for sure!
-
Good to hear from you again Sigurd. Sounds good! I hope to see you again in the near future when corona is gone. Maybe at Glenn Hughes and Dead Daisies in Amsterdam 2021.
-
All the best to you Glenn: Happy birthday. Hope to see you in 2021 with the Dead Daisies in Amsterdam. Stay healthy.
-
New date for the Melkweg, Amsterdam show of the Dead Daisies is the 6th of March 2021. Hope it is coming year safe to tour again!
-
Doug is indeed a very easy going person, for sure!
-
These songs are sounding very good acoustic. When the album comes out, this would be a nice bonus cd, perhaps with a few more acoustic versions!
-
Good news Yvonne: Let’s hope it’s save by then.
As David Coverdale stated in Coronavirus blues “never show your ugly face again Corona”.
I hope that a lot of the old geezers like Deep Purple, Sweet, Slade, Graham
Bonnet, Don Airey Band and Ian Paice with Purpendicular and ZZ Top, will go on for one or maybe a few years more. -
Certainly a different take on the original... full version also on Spotify.
Sounds very different, but good. Reminds me a bit of KLF What time is love. So far the best version of Unspoken is for me the acoustic one. Less in more.
