My copy arrived today and having given it it's first spin I don't think its a patch on 2.
I'm hoping it will grow on me as I was looking forward to this so much, but at the minute it's a huge disapointment.

For the record I didn't like 1 either, so I'm beginning to think BCC ain't for me.

    Sorry folks :(

Having posted this a week or so ago, and now having listened to it more, I've got to say it has grown on me. I still prefer 2, but this one is also a real gem.

(note to self, listen to albums before making rash judgements)

Sigurd - totally agree! His bass sounds AMAZING on this record. I'm a big fan of Orange - I have the 4x10 isobaric bass cab, but I'm using a GK head...anyway, however he's doing it, I really think this might be the best his bass has ever sounded, and it sits so beautifully in the mix.

Probably more to do with some "Caveman" magic rather than the Orange

What a brilliant evening, full of emotion. You could feel Glenn putting everything into this.

I've been thinking of highlights from the show, but the whole thing was stunning from beginning to end. I can't think of any singer anywhere who can sing in so many different styles as well as Glenn, he's truly unique.

So, I'm a bloke in my fifty's, and Glenn made me cry, again. Just tears of joy of hearing the worlds best at the top of his game. It was Coast to Coast and Will Our Love End that did it, but he did warn us to bring our hankies.

Like a few of us I was lucky enough to meet Glenn again at the meet and greet. He signed my book and the scratchplate of my Fender Jazz. He's the reason I took up Bass over 30 years ago. Thouble is, that everytime I meet him I get all starstruck like a big daft goon and never really know what to say.

Glenn, thanks for a great show, and thanks for getting me into the bass, you'll never know how much it means

I do believe this is another Bill Nash creation..old is new!!

I was looking at the website and was impressed by the lengths gone to to age these basses..very cool, indeed!

I thought it may be another Bill Nash. I much prefer Glenn playing a Jazz, has a lot more bite to the sound.

I have a Fender Marcus Miller signature Jazz that has a Status Graphite neck on it. Glenn would love it. It's the best sounding Jazz I've ever owned.

It's only a bass but I like it! Now we need to source one in Old Gold :)

There is no such thing as "only a bass"

Bass is the way. It will shake foundations when other instruments wimper. It will shake the bones in your body when you watch "the band kick back and play" It is relentless. Feel the vibe baby!

Long live "the bass" THE BASS IT DON'T LIE !

Prefer Glenn with a Jazz though, or the Yammy :D

Oh, and you may have guessed I'm a Bass player. Owe it all to "G"

Nottingham was a great gig, Glenn never fails to deliver. As Paul J mentioned above, the sound was off for the first 4 songs which was very frustrating. Also Anders was very low in the mix all night.
The set list was great too, except Orion I've never really got into that song at all. I also wish Glenn would ditch that red precision bass, the sound is too muddy and don't cut through the mix, I'd rather see him with a Jazz or his white Yamaha, they both cut through much clearer.

My copy came yesterday and I watched it all the way through last night. It's terrific, by far the best DVD Glenn has released to date. The second night Trapeze songs were awesome, just wish they were all included.
I was lucky enough to be there on the firat night, but missed the second night due to other commitments.
I've made my mind up that "other commitments" will take a back seat when Glenn does 2 nights at the Robin again :)

Fantastic DVD, if you have not ordered your copy yet, do it NOW. You don't know what you are missing    :clapper: :clapper:

I hope a more affordable version of the book soon becomes available. Like everyone else I'm not happy about this at all. Glenn's been very badly advised.

So, I think we are red hot on Kevin Shirley. It could be a question if the other musicians are U'S' based or not if they have got together in the studio already.

I think there could be members of Chickenfoot. I'd also agree and throw Sykes and Iommi into the mix. I would not rule out Jimmy Page either or possibly Jon Lord, now wouldn't that be something.

Whoever or whatever it is I hope it goes MEGGA for Glenn and he's out playing large sell out venues again, the boy deserves it. Oh and I hope he plays bass as well.

Thanks for the update Glenn its great to hear that your a still growing as an artiste.
If you have wrote 20 songs, is there any chance we might be treated to a double album. I'm know all the songs will be killers and we all hate missing out on stuff you must have in the vault.

I used to mention a Hughes / Coverdale Project collaberation when I used to post regular on David's forum. David replies to a lot of the questions on there, but he always used to ignore this when it came up. Its a pity really as it would be a stormer.
I was listening to Burn last night in the car, first time I've played it in ages. Brought some great memories back !

    Roll on the reunion :D

This is terrific news, and is going to be unmissable. I thought Glenn reached a peak when he played the Acoustic show this year, but Papa has just raised the bar again.

As a long time Glennie, I'm thrilled that our boy is doing so well. I't been a long time coming. make a good title for a song that ! :D

Too many to list. But if I have to choose just one its gotta be..........................................................................................................................Blue Jade ! :clapper:
