I absolutely agree with chrisloeb , this is a must-have CD !! Every song is great , Marc Bonilla plays fantastic guitar with a monster sound but most important : Glenn sings brilliant ! The live version of " Cover me " is my favorite tune , I think every fan of the "Addiction" album will love it!

I 've bought the remastered cd a few months before at amazon.de . When I first heard it I was overwhelmed by the new version of " Still the night " . The remastering of the 9 songs from the original record is good . The artwork of the booklet is fantastic !!!

There's a lot of fantastic guitar players named in this thread, let me add two of my favorites, Doyle Bramhall 2 and John Mayer . This guys play very soulful with a lot of roots knowledge and feeling, and they're very good singers too

Unfortunatly I was not able to visit one of the german gigs. I think the band plays very tight and inspired.

I liked Toto from the beginning and I often enjoy the DVD " Falling in between Live " . But Steve Lukather-who in my opinion is one of the best Rock guitarists ever- is a fantastic solo artist and I'm shure he will make some more good records in the future !

I totally agree with you , hughes/thrall_rulez . I`m alongtime GH-fan and I love all his music , but all the years I most love the Rock albums and the way he sang this kind of music . But I think David is right that we have to wait a few years to hear the Rock-Glenn again . As I said , I love the whole Glenn , but " Burning Japan Live" , "Seventh Star "or "Addiction" touches my Heart and Soul stronger than the Funk albums

F.U.N.K. is a very,very good album . " We shall be free " is my favorite .

Aerocol , the guitar player on " Live in Tokyo " is Akira Kajiyama .
Sure he's a really good heavy metal guitarist , but I think he don't fits so well to this kind of melodic hard rock . Please compare " Can't stop the flood " with the live - version on " Soulfully live in the city of angels " , you hear the difference !!
JJ , George Nastos , ED Roth and Chad Smith played it perfect .

P.S. : My favourite songs from the two studio albums are "Sister Midnight" and "Losing my Head" .
