. I am bothered that just because you are an entertainer or from Hollywood - that it means you automatically know all about politics or running a country.

Granted, they probably know about running a country as much as you or I would know. The real problem is, does the person who is acutally running the country know how to do it?

Don't care for the Dixie Chics (at all) They don't even write thier own music..

Don't mean to go off topic but like them or not, I'm glad they won because it proves that in a free country it is your sacrosanct right to say what you want without being ostracized. I know many people will read all sorts of political statements into this or say that they got lucky cause they were riding high in a climate of anti-Bush sentiment but if music can serve to prompt people to think differently, so be it.

    /soapbox

I'm rooting for RHCP and Dixie Chicks...not out of bias but because it's about flippin' time good music won grammys! I like Gnarls Barkley, Mary J Blige(adore her), Corinne Bailey Ray, John Legend, and many others nominated and wish them well too....but if the drowning cat known as James Blunt wins anything, Justin Timberlake gets away with Album of the Year, and the Black Eyed Peas get rewarded for their "music" it will be pure travesty!

    Here's how it works:

    1. Open your music library (Amarok, iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)

    2. Put it on shuffle

    3. For every question, type the song that's playing.

Don't lie and try to pretend your cool...just type in the answers and share the results!

    My results were funny....and spooky!

Opening Credits: Ain't No Woman Like The One I Got - The O'Jays

Waking Up: Jungle Boogie - Kool and The Gang

First Day At School: She - Elvis Costello

Falling In Love: You Belong To Me - Carly Simon

Losing Virginity: Baby Come To Me - Patti Austin & James Ingram

Fight Song: We'll Never Have To Say Goodbye - England Dan & John Ford Coley

    Life: Emotions - Samantha Sang

Mental Breakdown: So Into You - Atlanta Rhythm Section

Driving: Daydream Believer - The Monkees

Flashback: Can We Try - Teddy Pendergrass

Getting Back Together: You'll Never Find - Lou Rawls

Glad you had such a great time David....but with the RHCP you can expect no less. I saw them twice last year and I am looking forward to seeing them again this year.

I know exactly what you mean by the jams. They are my most anticipated moments of the gig (along with John's solo) cause you never know what they are going to be like.

Apparently it won't be the Chilis, they've offered to play the festival for free, but Michael Eavis in his infinite wisdom has turned them down because he doesn't want any 'heavy metal' (his words) bands playing Glastonbury. Apparently only 14-year-old boys listen to the RHCP...

14 year old boys...and their 40 year old teachers who wouldn't be caught dead listening to Pete Doherty and all his cliche' bullshit!

This has got to be the best laugh I've had today!

To Conchita: Anyone who comes from New York, Lives in Sicily and liked Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse gets my vote. Pete is one lucky sonafagun!!

Hey Frank...guess what I'm getting on dvd as a belated Christmas gift? Yep.....the whole series!

Hope you had a great one and have a happy New Year! xoxoxoxoxo

I do hope I get the ipod I've hinted at...failing that, I'll settle for gift certificates for books and skincare products.

Oh, and if someone(and you know who you are ;) !) happens to be reading this...a beginner's bass guitar would be nice! :D
