Sorted my photos from 2014, found these snaps of California Breed at the Gramercy Theatre, New York, May 31.
Enjoy,

Just read your message.
I was there too, better luck next time.
Didn't we chat by pigeon pre-internet?
Ciao
AdHi, Ad:
Just saw your message! I'm not here often. Ah, I miss the days of "simple Internet" (before social networks ruled the world). IMO, communication was more direct and more meaningful then. Now, people are scattered, there's too much to see and read, too many ways to communicate...
I ran into Bill ("Capt. Midnite") at the Gramercy gig. Hope to catch ya next time!

Hey, Everybody!
It's been ages since I posted here. I'll be at the NYC gig tonight (but won't be at venue until after 7). Will be wearing a blue plaid western shirt and carrying a gray messenger bag. Having trouble viewing the forum on my Chromebook; hope I posted this in the right thread!

PS: Bill, that was a great read... I agree with you about Mr. Stephens. -
Follow-up:
I received confirmation for the John Varvatos gig, so I'll be there!
Damien -
I'll be at the Highline show along with Brendan Johnston (some of you old-school CTCers may remember him). I hope to attend the Varvatos gig, too, but I haven't received confirmation yet.

It's wonderful to read all these moving tributes to Mel. I have a few words about him in my new blog:

Hi Everybody -
I'm back with my report from NYC...
Upon taking the stage, Glenn exclaimed "Wish me luck!" His group then hammered out "Smoke On The Water" and "Superstition." Despite the lackluster, let's-have-fun performance by his one-day camp band, Hughes - who played bass and helped out on vocals - was very animated and in good spirits - lots of screamin'!
But there was no counselor jam! That's what made last year's event so unique and special. They were running late, so I'm not sure if it was scrapped for that reason or not planned at all for this tour. I know the "All-Star Counselors" will headline the upcoming Nashville and Vegas gigs, so get there if you can, because that's the good stuff.
King's X was amazing! One of the tightest live bands I've ever seen. I've been meaning to check them out for years, but, you know, there are so many other artists to keep up with and listen to. I was floored and will be diggin' deeper.
Extreme has plenty of chops, some good tunes, and they know how to put on a high-energy rock show...but it's a little too over the top (extreme!) for my tastes.
The Fillmore was packed, hot as hell, and it was controlled chaos from beginning to end - everything a rock concert should be!

Hope to see some of you at RRFC NY tonight! I'll be wearing a black t-shirt with orange lettering that says "Nashville Guitars," and I'll be with this guy - http://myspace.com/donleesounds
Will be back tomorrow with a report.

I'll be at the New York show on August 4th...
GH, Kip Winger, King's X - WOW, what a night of music!

Hmm... So Sweet Revenge is not a legit release
That's unfortunate, and I hope things can be worked out to the satisfaction of Glenn and Robin.
I picked up the CD last week and just posted a review in my blog - http://blog.myspace.com/damiendesimone
Some of you may remember that I used to rave about this material in the early days of CTC, so I felt compelled to comment on it now, many years later...
Thanks,
Damien -
Fantastic reviews, folks... I second what Kat said - everyone does such a great job of covering all aspects, it's almost like being there...

Thanks, Ayesha.
I've been listening to her songs on MySpace, and I really like what I'm hearing...will have to investigate further!

Hi All -
New review posted in my blog - a special showcase of Neil Berg's new musical The Twelve, featuring Patti Russo (Meat Loaf, Queen's We Will Rock You, TSO, etc. - Patti performed with GH at RNR Fantasy Camp in New York last September).

Hi Wolfy -
Ha, you're right, five isn't enough, but I really wanted to narrow it down and focus on the significant ones. Maybe I'll expand my list next year.
Damien -
I posted earlier, but just came across this thread... My favorites of '07 can be found in my blog:

Ayesha, I've heard a lot about Corinne Bailey Rae - I really need to check out her music.
I'm enjoying Live In Australia, too - it's relaxed, revealing, intimate, and I dig the song selection.
