Glenn Hughes Celebrates BURN Album 50th Anniversary LIVE In UK

This is such good news, I’m so happy this is happening, Glenn puts other people half his age to shame, not just with his ability and talent but also his energy levels and continues drive and passion, when the world ends all that will survive, will be cockroaches and Glenn!

Why are the European tour dates coming so slowly? Is Glenn teasing us fans or is the tour still shaping up?

I’m hardly can wait for Dutch, Belgium or German tourdates

I wonder if Ian Paice will be coaxed out to guest with Glenn on the 50th Anniversary of Burn Tour?

Probably not, I suspect, I haven't seen Glenn play full versions of 'Lay Down Stay Down' & 'A200'.

Hoping that 'Highball Shooter' will get the full live treatment along with 'You Can't Do It Right'.

Any chance of a 50th Anniversary Remix of the Burn album? What about a ‘Classic Albums’ presentation featuring all the surviving members of MK3 D.P on DVD?

Burn was already remixed and added to the remastered edition. I would also like a Burn documentary a la Classic Albums.

There have been no archival releases from DP for a decade or so. It seems that legal battles have not yet settled.

The 2004 Burn Remaster had selected tracks remixed, but not the whole album.I recall reading in the DPAS that Roger Glover even started to remix the Burn album,but quit because his heart wasn’t into it. Presumably the safety mixes that Roger did may still be around in the official vaults. I’m not aware of any Legalities stopping further remix projects. Someone like Steven Wilson seems to be the go-to remix Producer to go to in recent times.

To me the real wasted opportunity was the non inclusion of the Burn rehearsals that EMI had located on cassette. Same goes for Stormbringer.

If the Rehearsal tapes were standalone releases, like the ‘Days May Come’ MK4 tapes, that would be appreciated.
