RIP Ian 'Sludge' Lees

Former musician and Cannock (West Midlands, UK) based, comedian Ian 'Sludge' Lees has died, aged 74, following a short illness.

A lifelong friend of Glenn's, 'Sludge' was nicknamed by him... it came from his football days. 'Sludge' had played football at Cannock Park with Glenn. He used to dive around a lot, wanting to be a goalkeeper.

Pre-Trapeze days, Glenn, Mel & Dave were in local band, FINDERSKEEPERS, along with guitarist Alan Clees and vocalist Ian 'Sludge' Lees.
