$75 for stuff mostly already released.

All the live tracks are already available in full on their own albums for a fraction of the price and you can get the 5CD "Definitive Collectors Edition" for $20 on amazon or a 3CD "Ultimate Edition". There's even a 1CD "Deluxe" edition.

just how much is previously unreleased. i'm a massive fan and collector of his stuff but this has gone beyond a joke.

Coinciding with White Purple's reinterpretaton of Mk III and IV tracks comes this Tommy Bolin box. Smart move from a marketing stand point.

Coming from the vinyl era myself and still having 500+ vinyl albums, I don't understand the current fascination with vinyl. Sure the artwork is way better, but all, I mean ALL, vinyl albums have this fireside crackle burning inside of them. CD's are so much better...anyway...on to the album.
There are 3 LP's and 15 tracks and they all have been released earlier as they are culled from 2011's TEASER DLX Alt. versions and 2012's THE ULTIMATE TEASER 3CD...and here you get them on......vinyl! .........crazy, ha, ha

There is a double live CD too: Best of Live. They ALSO have been released before...in this case by the mighty TOMMY BOLIN ARCHIVES (TBA) and they're even throwing TBA Collector Series (TBACS) tracks in there. The booklet is nothing to write home about either, some stupid photoshopped pictures. don't understand the cover either.

oh, the music...well...the (re-released) tracks on the LP's are vintage Tommy Bolin, just plain awesome. And the CD...the same awesomeness here...but wait...they are louder and seem to be remastered from the ol' TBA discs...which begs for a complete remastering of those old archival CD's. I'm afraid that's not going to happen in an orderly fashion as these folks will ravage the neatly organized TBA releases in the same way as the current Bolin releases.
