Introducing California Breed
-
-
Co-headlining tour with California Breed and the Winery Dogs anyone? Europe and the US?
Hopefully. -
Really stoked that Jason Bonham is drumming
Can't wait to hear California Breed
-
It's Great to see this announcement ! I'm hoping to hear some sound snippets before May and to read about the Tour plans !
I'm pumped!!! -
We can all hope for a tour this Summer now !!! Glad to see Glenn rocking again with a REAL band and not one of those compilation mish moshes where we get two songs from each performer.
-
I think it's more a feeling of relief than anything that I'm feeling right now!
Looks like the only scoop here is the name. But I have to say, I love the fact that it's a trio, there are some good power trios out there right now, (Winery Dogs, KXM, and now California Breed)and that makes me a happy bunny. Now let's hear the funkin' music! -
tasty... short but sweet -
Interesting branding and certainly different from the usual imagery associated with s called 'classic rock.' Let's hope this illustrates musical intention.
Most of us guessed this line up which is easier to manage than a five piece. I'd like to see this run and run. We'd all like to get a load of this band in each of our countries. I reckon we should be patient and book early when they do arrive.
From California Jam to California Breed. Here comes the sunshine. -

...aside from being included in the mag., who said anything about 'classic rock'
-
Nice. Hopefully this announcement clears away the frustration that's been felt related to the break-up of BCC and the over-stretched hints & rumours about what might soon follow.
I'm happy that G & J went this way, working with the kid Watt instead of some more established chopmeisters. Cobb's involvement can't be bad. Judging by the trio's comments, the excitement to boost creativity has been there, as it was probably with BCC when they started. Unlike BCC, this might be a genuine win-win situation for all involved. The music might just turn out to be as fresh as the logo. -
so the wait is over no great surprise however, the 15 second clip sounds impressive and suggests a heavy funk sound, which I much prefer to the retro BBC sound.
Can't wait to hear the complete album and hope to see the band on tour this spring/summer
Good luck lads -
...aside from being included in the mag., who said anything about 'classic rock'
My point precisely David. But two of the the artists are usually associated with the term. The branding doesn't suggest that. -
Yesss! When I received CR's newsletter today it put a big grin on my face. Finally! I'm getting really, really excited now about the new album and - hopefully - some great live shows this year!
The short snippet of "The Way" sounds great, it would be fantastic if there will be some songs with Glenn's softer voice on the new album as well (love his timbre). The video of Andrew Watt on Classic Rock reminds me of Prince who I love as well. Wouldn't mind some funky touch in that direction either
I'm just a bit curious about Derek Sherinian because he never gets mentioned anywhere. Was he too busy with other projects like JB or should the new band sound more different to older classic rock, so keyboards become less important?
Can't wait to hear one of the new songs in full length... -
Congratulation Glenn, Jason & Andrew! May this band prosper and live for a very long time
Rock on boys! -

California Breed is a new band; a trio, was always going to be, so no keys required!
-
this is just what we need right now
-
Did I miss the unexpected part somehow?

A quick update from Glenn on Facebook earlier today
QuoteFirst single and video released late April...
...being filmed later this month! -
snippet sounds similar to F.U.N.K.
looking forward to hearing what Watt will bring... -
In fact not real news, only the name of the band. Still I am happy for Glenn and wish him and the other guys lot's luck and huge succes. I hope for a
tour, not only England, but a real world tour! Let's rock!
