Just got back home from a 2 week run in LA. Did some more work with Hans Zimmer. Got together with Glenn and new kid called Andy Watt. And sat down with Derek and Glenn to talk about what we want to do next !!!! Great time xxxx JB

That is exactly what I want to hear/read. Glenn, Jason and Derek sitting together and making new plans for the future :clapper:

Why should THEY split because of the solo career of a certain Joe B.?

I'm sure they will find a solution, satisfying for themselves and for the fans.
And if the name BCC is gone - so what, the music will live on.
How about BCB - Black Country Brothers? ;)

  • The Mulberry Tree Ep is very enjoyable, Watt is obviously a hugely talented musician. As many of you have said, very interesting to hear what comes out of the collaboration!

If some shadows of unfulfilled expectations from the past still haunt some of us (H/T 2, Shape 68...), the not-so-distant future just might bring the healing light...

  • Glenn before the session...

    It's time for singing...

Here are the guys having fun after the session...

For me it's really interesting what will be the final result of their writing...

  • I don't mean to tell tales out of school, but I heard two tracks by this combo this past week. I don't know if any of it will see the light of day, but I will say that it is some of the strongest GH music yet. Regardless of where he lands, please know that Glenn is writing singing, and playing better than ever.

In the past, I'd spoken to Glenn about the influence of Jack Bruce's bass playing, but on this stuff, I completely got it. Like I said, he's never sounded stronger.

I can't wait to see where this all leads for our Mr. Hughes.

That makes me even more curious, Tony. I can hardly wait that more details about this new band surface. Somehow I have a feeling that 2014 will be an exciting year for GH fans.

(And thanks for the DC interview from March wich was forced upon you... ;) )

  • Cream, Trapeze and now Hughes, Bonham and Watt: could be a great new trio and a new chapter for this kind of bands, where is enough space to improvise, I suppose. Looking forward to it. Andrew reminds me a bit of a young Tommy Bolin. If he is such a talented guy, it would be even more interesting. Glenn always comes up with young an very talented guitarplayers!
