2013 plans

  • My guess (conclusion from latest tweets of both) is that the new project will be the new way of cooperation with David Coverdale.

It would sound good - if DC would be able to sing, but sadly he is not for quite a few years....

totally impossible... David Coverdale will be on big tour in 2013...

This is a retweet from Derek Sherinian to DC:

"Derek Sherinian @davidcoverdale All is great thank you- I am playing with @ZakkWyldeBLS in March, then touring with @BillyIdol. Hope to work w/ you soon!"

"I might have been born in Liverpool, but I grew up in Hamburg." John Lennon

  • It would surprise me if this working together would mean more than a DP tribute album but we'll see. Drums, bass, vocals, keyboards shouldn't be a problem but I'm very curious about the guitar player in the new band :p

  • I get the 'feeling' that Glenn's working on something for the movie industry. In the last week Glenn's mentioned the word 'film' and 'cinematic' in separate tweets. He met with Jason Bonham and Paul Geary on Friday. Today, Jason mentioned he's excited because he just worked with Hans Zimmer...

Well I know it's been a long time since i last posted but it's worth it in my mind . Just worked with Hans Zimmer !

Maybe I'm trying to hard to figure out the surprises Glenn's about to spring on us ! The excitement builds!...:bouncer:

  • ...as Glenn says; details coming soon

[INDENT]Details on new band within next 2 months..its all comin' together amazingly..

Any news on this project yet? I thought they were supposed to announce something at the end of April. Is it still on?

On a separate note, it seems Glenn is working on 3 different projects simultaneously! Is it safe to assume that both his solo effort and Andrew Watt collaboration are to be released in 2014?

  • I would be grateful if some one could help me out with Glenns projects from my recollections he is

    1) Playing gigs with Kings of chaos but this is not a permanent band so there will be no albums.

    2) Recording his next solo album, which will be out the end of the year/2014.

    3) A project with a big name from the world of classic rock, which will result in an album and tour at some time in the future.

    4) Doing aone off gig with ex and current purple members to celebrate the life of Jon Lord but no date yet.

Any help would be appreciated as at my age, the mind isn`t what it once was.

  • I think it will be hard for GLENN to compete with himself. The three BCC albums were superb and of a very high level. Three of such great albums in a row is exceptional (like Burn, Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band): After these three great Purple Albums came Black Sabbaths Seventh Star, Gary Moore Run for Cover and John Norum Face the Truth ( also all three albums on a very high level)and after that it was the BCC trilogy I like the most (I am a rock fan). The BCC level was so extreme good that I think the next thing will not be such as good as BCC. The first signs in 2013 (Kings of Chaos and some other guest appearences are not very hopefull for the near future, I suppose). Maybe Andrew Watt will bring some joy, so that we can expect the unexpected (A very good album on the same high BCC level????):singer:

I think the solo album will be good as the last three BCC albums...I mean why not...he wrote the most of the songs from Black Country and 2...and wrote Afterglow (with some help from Jason :D)...maybe it can be even better...we can expect everything from Glenn...
His solo appereances are absolutely enough for me...( I adore Kings of Chaos, but solo...he is best of the best...)
Andrew will bring something new...I'm sure...he is creative...and when two creative musicians write together...well...I call this GREAT ALBUM...
But...how he can handle all the work...he is...WOW...:bow::bow:
I don't care whether will be BCC, or solo album, or album with Andrew Watt...even Deep Purple album... (Is there any chance...)...I'm sure that when Glenn is in the project he will make something special...that will touch our emotions...I really can't wait to see him again on the road...:bouncer::bouncer::bouncer:

  • Sorry to be so thick, however, who is Andrew Watt and who has he played with and whart type of music does he play?

Is this the long heralded colaboration with a big name in classic rock?
