BCC Afterglow Lyrics...

  • Since the Lyrics were omitted from the various Black Country CommunionAfterglow album packages, despite being submitted by Glenn, to the art and graphics team @ J&R, to be included as always, but for some reason, they were not put on the album...

I'm more than happy to have them up on the site, as they carry a message.

...are now available to view and optionally you can download a PDF of them, from the Lyrics section, here on the site :cool1:

  • Just great to have these to refer to David! the lyrics are very very important, (or at least they should be-not all writers treat them as an equally important part of the song) and it's nice to read them as well as hear them sung.

  • Thanks a lot for the lyrics! It's great to listen to the songs and read the lyrics as well, one of my favs (The Circle) is touching me even deeper now.
I would like to know the reason as well why the lyrics didn't come with the album this time when they were supposed to do so?

That's it - hopelessly addicted to the voice from Cannock... 8)

  • Please ask J&R...I'd be really interested to know their excuse. Because in Classic Rock magazine...some time ago when there was sorta Joe Bonamassa special...they told how strict they are about quality...(and want to offer only the best to the fans)

    ...anyone considered returning "faulty" CD?

Hmmm... at least Mascot Records' (European limited edition with DVD) version came without lyrics. Is there a version with lyrics? Where that can be ordered?

...now going to play tennis...with my buddy who has a record store (yeah those still exist in Finland)...so I'll be getting Afterglow LP...:D :D :D

Have a great weekend - everyone!

  • hmmm...in my opinion vinyl version looks....cheap...compared to previous BCC albums. It isn't gatefold as 1 and 2. I'm not sure about this but I have a feeling that this disc is also thinner. I don't know how it sounds 'cos I have LP player only at summer cottage...:)

...but I have say that I'm already in love with Afterglow...at the moment I'd go as far as claiming that this is the best Deep Purple Family Tree Album since Come Taste The Band...:)

  • Nada... do tell us how the Vinyl edition is ;)

It's not a double LP this time like 1 & 2, which surprised me a bit since so much fuss was made about Afterglow  (Yes, I know who is responsible... ;) )
The lyrics are not included either. But when I saw this thread, all was good :)

The vinyl market in Germany has been growing constantly in recent years.

And I thank Glenn for remembering Jon Lord in his credits

"I might have been born in Liverpool, but I grew up in Hamburg." John Lennon

  • Hey,
just watched the DVD with thought...Kevin mentions that they had 2 songs from last albums sessions...and then later he says that they have "12 songs in the can"...on the album there's 11...what is the missing song? Japanese bonus track? Is there Japanese release?

aijoo....this is perfect jogging album for me...not too fast not too slow...I like to run about 10 km with pace 5.30/6.00 mins/km...which means that I have time to listen to whole CD...:)
