"The Who Concert File" and "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere; The Complete Chronicle" both state that Trapeze were the opening act for The Who at Civic Hall in Wolverhampton on Monday, August 24, 1970.
One day we will have all the holes filled in! -

Bill, Tony Perry told me that when Trapeze supported The Who their sound through the main PA seemed really low and when he complained was told that's all there was. Then when The Who came on stage it was so loud their ears nearly explodedHe said he learned a valuable lesson that night!

I see Stray on the bill with them. I read a great article in Classic Rock on them a while back and bought the albums Saturday Morning Pictures and Suicide as a result. Enjoyed them both and shame they didnt hit the big time.
