Raven Vandelle came on at 8pm for 30 minutes and gave a great performance. I really liked the singer and their sound.
15 minute rush to the bar and loos and then GH came on at 9 on the dot.
Great sound, louder than Buxton and Northampton i thought. Anders seemed even louder in the mix and really getting to hear his "Hammond" sound now rather than just the Fender Rhodes jazzy bits.
Drum solo longer, harder and better and Soren as usual crunching it out.
Glenn is, well, just unstoppable. How he hits those high notes night after night i don't know.
This was another all seater venue and people didn't really get on their feet till a rousing kick-ass Soul Mover but all in all a great crowd.
A few songs seemed to have a little bit extra at the end of them - we even got "I AM A MESSENGER".
Nice to see Mike & Penny, Martin & Marie, Mike Moore and had a chat with Drew Thompson too. Even Johnny Jevons was there with some pics of him(on bass) and Glenn(on guitar) in, i think, The Red Caps.
Cant wait for BCC now - although i've got Styx, Foreigner and Journey next Sunday first! -
