BCC live in USA

  • There is a dive bar about a half mile down the block from Starland (called The Brass monkey, located in a small strip mall at the corner of Jernee Mill Rd. and Bordertown Ave). Never had a bite there, but usually pregame for a beer or two if I'm really early to the shows.

I've seen that bar now that you mention it! Well maybe we can grab some grub and a couple beers then go to the lot and do a little old fashion tailgating. I plan on heading up from Pennsy in the afternoon. Gonna make a day of it!!!

  • Well, I got the whole Seattle trip ironed out and was headed to see you all in DC, but hit the final snag
The FSL All-Star Game is that weekend in Clearwater, and guess who HAS to be there from Thursday through Sunday :( I love baseball and my work, but that was one weekend i would rather be doing something else.
So have a good time ladies and gentlemen, and if you come across the Captain or the Philly Guys, buy them each a drink and see what the term "Loads of fun" really means :D Just NO OYSTERS :p

Ouch!! You gotta do what you gotta do, Frank

Still, by the time you get to see them they should be up to speed & iron out any blips in their performance ;)

PS I don't seem to remember there being any oysters left for anyone else ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

    Yeah what he said!!!!! :D

  • Aw man..that sucks Frank! Do you think you will be able to catch another show? I hope so...With Robin Trower, UFO and several other acts out there, I am ready to travel to see a show....I really got spoiled having BCC coming to DC...

There are several places within a few blocks of the 9:30 Club where you can get a bite to eat and a few beers before the show. You can get drinks at the venue but if you get a choice spot up front or upstairs you won't want to risk losing it to other members of the crowd. They also allow photography and the room is small enough that my little Sony Cybershot does a pretty fair job.

We're both fine, thanks, Frank, as I hope you & Maggie are :)
Had better get my passport renewed then.........

  • Oh dear, is the presale for tix that bad that they need support like this? :(

You obviously miss the point... the idea is that volunteers help flyer each show in promotion of the following shows, encouraging those that maybe thinking about going to another or for those that know someone in another city, so they can pass the word and of course, to help spread the message of the band... not everyone in attendance is going to know their history...

    It's all good :D

We don't have that system ;) A lot a publicity over here is made via the forums. For the band, the gigs, Glenn's book... And the ticket sale starts very very early.
