Phoenix Rising - GT trailer

  • Classic. re-release of old material to charge extra. Really Disgusting...Could have at least released a few tracks from Springfield or Liverpool. This is not the way to treat fans...

I pre-ordered the DVD and paid 16 Euros for it including the bonus CD. This is an average price here - so no extra charges.

Well then. For the average price they could have included new tracks. Simple. They won´t be releasing any extra cd chargeless. There are plenty of dvds containg unreleased material for less than that price. And for fans who live outside Europe, USA or Australia, even a few euros DO make difference.

Yes, this is so typical for the days of flatrate systems. Give people something extra and they will start complaining - it's not enough or it's not good enough. Hey, a bonus is a bonus is a gift - and should be accepted like one. Honestly, if I was on the management of a record company and I read something like this - I would either decide no bonus in the future or let's include some unreleased material - but at extra charges!

You don´t understand what I think. If they had not included the bonus cd with old material, the set would cost 11 or 12 euros instead of 16. As I explained earlier, those few euros Dop make diference for some fans. So if I have to pay 16 euros, I prefer to get bonus unreleased material rather thatn a rerelease for the same price.

  • Davis can you help with this one?

Amazon.de says PR dvd will be PAL zone 2 edition.
Today Amazon uk says PR will be a german import.

    Thanks

  • :D:D
..and it is a must to bring out more from the wonderful mk4 tracks.
Because again and again people, who call themselves DPfans don't know much or nothing about mk4, how they tell me.
Its a shame in the 70ties anf 80ties the media decided to underate and sometimes ignore the mk4 stuff.
Last year i bought the "DP Live At Longbeach" and was totally surprised.
For example the Gettin' Tighter version of it is alienlike(don't know this word exists) hope to get more in may.

    regards
    Sigurd

  • MK4 was surprising. For years in the Charlesworth Purple book I had read the bolin chapter and just thought the album must have been awful. Finally got it in 98 and was blown away. Now it's among my most played. It's funny how there are times that Purpendicular and Come Taste are in the top most played albums and they are non Blackmore albums- who is my favorite.
