As you may have seen in Glenn's tweet earlier, he will be making a special appearance at the VEGAS ROCKS! Magazine Awards at The Hilton in Las Vegas, NV. USA on Sunday, August 22nd, 2010.

He'll be receiving an 'Inspirational Icon Award' and also performing a song or two.

Sorry to say, but... Glenn has reformed Trapeze after the Purple split in 1976, done so many solo projects, has now formed a new band. Why the heck is he still announced as Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple? Honestly, this annoys me, even if DP HAS played a big part in Glenn's life. If these Vegas guys don't know anything about the Rock biz, they should rather stick to their slot machines...

The awards ceremony on Sunday in Vegas will be preceded by a Grand Rock and Roll Royal Red Carpet with appearances from stars and rock music legends including Lemmy Kilmister, James Kottak, Glenn Hughes, Paul Shortino, Jake E. Lee, Jimmy Crespo, Chris Frazier, Vinnie Appice, Keri Kelli and Zowie Bowie, rock and roll celebrity chef Kerry Simon and tattoo titan Mario Barth!
