Trapeze In Summer 1976

    I could be mistaken, but I saw Trapeze in the summer of 1976. They played at Texas Hall on the University of Texas at Arlington campus. I have been down stairs and looked at the dressing rooms at Texas Hall and they look this picture looks the same. The bill for the show was : First up was trio with Bob Welch as front man (can't recall what they were called?) Second up was a trio called The Leslie West band (Mountain) and finally Trapeze with Mel, Dave, Glenn with I believe Terry playing keyboards but off to the right of the stage. An excellent show!!!!!

    I was there too for that concert! Thanks to Shirean and the song snippets and other stuff my memory has come back a little.That IS UTA backstage in this picture ..( what I would't do to get my hands on a copy of that!)
    It sounds like you hit some of the same clubs we used to play..Cardi's Sneaky Pete's Mother Blues.
    I saw Trapeze in Austin and Houston a lot..with and without Glenn..

    I also had the Lubbock and San Antonio shows in my archive, but I see they have been found.

    The original Trapeze will make a return visit to Odessa Sept 9, with an R p m concert at Mu* Ector County Coliseum The band will be accompanied by the Leslie West Band. Tickets are $5 in advance and $b at the door. They may be purchased at Endless Horizons and Tape Town in Odessa, Music Haul in Midland and Head Post in Hig Spring. Trapeze recently reformed after splitting up. Members include Glenn Hughes, Mel Galley and Dave Holland. West used to be guitarist with Mountain. Trapeze appeared in Odessa about a year and one half ago The current tour is promoted by Stone City Attractions of San Antonio.
