Trapeze - Running

Does anyone have any details on this German LP - tracking listing, label etc? I assume it's a bootleg or at the very least a rip-off release?

All I know is it was issued in Europe only and after The Final Swing (1974) and before Trapeze (1975) - it also features a brave young lady on the cover by the name of Angelika!!

  • The RUNNING album is actually the same as HOLD ON.

The track listing for RUNNING is:
    (Shark records INT 148.500 Germany)

    Side A:
    Running
    Living on love
Don't ask me how I know
    Take good care of me
    Time will heal

    Side B:
    Hold on
Don't break my heart part I
Don't break my heart part II
    When you get to heaven
    You are

    Band personnel:
    Mel Galley - guitar
    Dave Holland - drums
Pete Goalby - lead vocals and guitar
    Pete Wright - bass

The track listing for HOLD ON:
    (Aura records AUL 708, England)

    Side A:
Don't ask me how I know
    Take good care
    When you get to heaven
    Livin' on love
    Hold on

    Side B:
Don't break my heart (Same as on Running!)
    Running
    You are
    Time will heal

Can I turn the cover now??

  • And yes I do recommend it, as it is a good rocking Trapeze album with a great vocalist: Pete Goalby...who later went on to join Uriah Heep and made some good albums with them too!

Come to think of it...where is Pete Goalby now???

  • This album came out with 2 different titles and covers. The more common title is "Hold On". "Running" is the original issue. It came out in Germany in 1978. It later came out in the U.K. as "Hold On" in 1979. It came out as "Hold On" in the U.S. in 1980. The song sequencing is different from "Running" and "Hold On".
