I have it filed under June/July 1973 which was during the last tour Glenn played with Trapeze prior to joining Purple.
Since I don't have the source of the photo, I can't confirm this - perhaps someone else has some other pictures from this timeframe which will clear it up?

I'm fairly sure the Fender Bender picture is from Deep Purple. I have several photo books on Deep Purple and there are a couple of different shots of Glenn on stage in the "boiler suit" with Japanese flag on it.

In the center of the "flag", I can see a Japanese character which means purple.
It was actually a logo for a band called "Murasaki" (means purple)in Japan who was a Deep Purple clone band.
I also think that it is the picture from Japan tour with Deep Purple.
