To Bill V.
Welcome to the list! If anyone had the opportunity to steal that bass, it was myself and our very own David Harrison...Last year, Lou invited us to his office the day after the show...The sight was mind blowing; wall to wall memorabilia and the newest acquisitions being an ESP 5-string bass guitar signed by Glenn and "THE SHOES"!! David and I got to closely inspect these items and numerous pics were taken....

Nicely put, Bill
There's a word that seems to sum up what we GH fans share - it's present on this board, and it's present when we're in each others' company at the various shows. It's a sense of community. When I made that comment the other night in Orlando to JJ and David, they agreed that it is quite a remarkable thing, JJ especially. What a humble, and supremely talented guy.
I don't know where I'm going with this.
Cheers...Todd -
Hey Todd,
You NAILED it brother...COMMUNITY is an apt word for what we all share here..and it is a privelege to be part of that...and I don't take that lightly!
I knew EXACTLY where you were going!!

I too would like to thank Lou Carrier for everything he did for us GHCP at the hotel! I would also like to thank David and Shirean Harrison for all thier info and for a great website. Now on with the show.......
Ok this is my opinion of the show, I wont go into detail w set lists n such as thats already been posted ill just comment on the preformance. Lets start w JJ, to me he was very nervous often playing out of key and even out of tune on some songs. Ive heard JJ on many bootleg shows and ive heard what hes capable of. I realise that this was JJs american debut and maybe added to the nervousness i dont know but he didnt sound like the JJ i have heard before. I heard comments by Glenn after songs, like, "what key was that in?" so it was obvious to him. I saw a couple of frowns from Glenn as well, like when JJ dropped his guitar and walked off stage. JJ later admitted Glenn didnt like that. Chad on the otherhand didnt look nervous but played rather sloppy on a few tunes but did a good job. Ed Roth to me held the band together, when sometimes it sounded like it was falling apart. the second half of the show Glenn starting giving signs to Ed instead of JJ. and last but not least Glenn......... What can I say hes the MAN!!!!!!!!!! His voice was excellent and his bass playing was great. To me the show looked like it was like a vacation show where all the guys were just out to rest and relax and one night get on stage. Nothing wrong with that!!!!!! Cant wait for the next show!!!!! lol
And let me not forget the great people I met along the way!! Kenny&Carolyn,David&Shirean,Bill,Chip,Todd,Andy,Patrick,Famous Mike,Kat and anyone else that slipped my mind.

Hello David,
Thanks for "squashing" my pictures so that they fit neatly on the page...You mentioned that you will have software in place soon that will accomplish this automatically and that will be great! I had held back on posting pics because I knew there was a file size limit. I regret that now...thanks for all your help!
Besides...after looking at the stunning work of Reinhard Lackner and his pics from the May 1st show...I am tempted to make a paperweight out of my camera!!.....OK, I won't do anything rash!!

Hey Bill,
Glenn said that those shoes were size 9 1/2 and that his feet actually grew to a size 11 in later years..The only way I could squeeze my size 12D feet in those platforms is with a shoehorn and a can of Crisco!!!
And I am actualy supposed to RUN in them too?? There isn't enough money in the world!!! -

Sounds like I missed one wonderful event, in more ways than one. Spending the night in bushes? Jumping in the pool? JJ misbehaving? Vinnis' tongue hanging out?
Thanks for some great posts - Bill, Chip, Todd et al; really intereresting reading.
And welcome aboard, Bill V. You will never be disappointed.
