    On the same night as Glenn at the RBCS in Derbyshire (Friday 25th July) Guy McCoy Torme - aka GMT - are playing.

    If you'd like to see them in the run-up to the festival so that you know what to expect (a right rockin set filled with snazzy pzzazzy songs and loads of high-octane energy), then call in and see them at any of these places. That way, you can see them twice!

    Rock & Blues Custom Show

    URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

    As of 2pm today the 11th July 2008 due to objections again by the Derbyshire Constabulary, the licensing committee of the Amber Valley Borough District Council have refused to grant a License for this year’s Rock & Blues Custom Show to take place. So it is with regret that after so much hard work, time and commitment which has been put into this year’s event by the RBCS 25 team that we announce the 25th Anniversary show will no longer be taking place as advertised.

    We would like to use this moment to thank everyone involved in the background at RBCS HQ and everyone beyond who has got us this far, your professionalism has been second to none.

    More information will be announced over the coming days so keep checking back.

    OK, yes - just to confirm....the festival is cancelled and obviously GLENN will not now be appearing in Derbyshire :) :(

    I live about 2 miles from where this event was to take place, it was a dream come true to see Glenn headlining the event and now its been taken away. He would have blown them away.

    All of the locals have never had a problem with the event being held at Pentrich as all the bikers have been a well behaved bunch and have always brough it much needed trade to the area.

    Those of you in the know about the area will know that Matlock is a magnet for bikers anyway on weekends, so why the police have objected to the R&B festival is beyond me !

    Derbyshire Constabulary have a lot to answer for for this :huh: :huh: :( :mad: :mad:

    a'm disapointed at missing out on fab music and ace bikes
    not sure how to get a refund on tickets as no contact details and site is off any help appreciated

    Just got letter today to say organisers have gone into voluntary liquidation and that should claim refunds from your credit card company or PayPal.

    If anyone out there still has a ticket for 2008, the RockandBlues web page now states that you can get a 2009 ticket in exchange rather than get a partial refund through the liquidators of the previous promoters.
    Now obviously no GH but I shall be claiming so I can see the mighty GMT and reformed Shy.

    You could always file a lawsuit against the person who poked you in the eye with a sharp stick and get more money out of the eye poking than the value of the ticket for R & B 2009. Just a thought, couldn't help myself! I'll go poke myself in the eye as self punishment for that one! xx
