Everyone!
There should be a book about Glenn Hughes and his life. Someone should gather all the facts and exciting stories and honour the voice of rock with his own book! I would love to read this book myself.
Anyone interested?
I'm a journalist for 20 years and now editor myself, and I would love to be a part of such a project, but I couldn't do it alone. There are people out there that know much more about Glenn that I do, though I have been the a faithful fan since the first Phenomena album.
What would Glenn himself think about a biographical book?

Gee, didn't we already have a thread about this, with a lot of whining
that Glenn hadn't written his autobiography?
Didn't we come to the group conclusion that the only way that this would happen
(what with him touring so much) would be for Glenn to write this IN HIS SLEEP?
However..........
Now we can start whining again, about Mel Galley writing his autobiography, too

That would be great!!!! Glenn usually doesn't pull punches in interviews and he has an amazing and inspiring life story so I'm sure a book would be incredible.

This is great news, David. Glenn is open minded an he always gives so much of himself. I am sure that a book about our voice will be a winner!
Krister -
This of course would be great- but some how it would have to be marketed to people beyond the fans of Glenn, Deep Purple and Trapeze. I would hope it would be a story that would inspire all about triumph over the obsticles in life. The life of a rock star should make for some interesting content!

Excellent news David !
Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember Glenn told us during a chat that he was seriously thinking about a book.
Seems that things are getting more concrete now.
Roll on 2008 !!! A new record, a book, hopefully a tour...Thank you SuperGlenn ! -
my god !! can't wait 2008 !! I hope Glenn will be touring in France !!

Krister, as Grace says we have been shouting for this for some time. Your point about Glenn having something interesting to say about the past and the present is certainly true. There was kind of "prelude" in Classic Rock recently which wolfysmith included for us. And there are stories over at gh.com too. If they are anything to go by, I will certainly be buying a copy.
I'd also try to get involved if there was nothing else in the pipeline. It does seem though that there is something high profile publishing going on... and about time too.
By the way, I do think there's room for a new Rock n Roll Babylon type of book The Gary Herman masterpiece is out of print but I reckon there are some untold stories which would stand the test of time. -

Maybe you've been shouting for an GH autobiography.
I know that I've definitely been whining. A lot
Anybody thinking that if Glenn and Mel Galley got together
and co-wrote a book, it might be called:
Trapeze ~ Life in the Rock and Roll Circus
(just thinking) -
Book by Glenn Hughes is very GOOD idea!
Hope book will be out in this year! -
i certainly would enjoy reading the book. the last good book that i read and enjoyed like that was a book on ian gillan and unfortunantly, i loaned it to someone and they moved away and i haven't been able to find it again.

I just read The Bloom biography of Ritchie Blackmore while I was in Germany, to watch Blackmore last summer and it was excellent. It's the best music bio I've read lately. The only thing it didn't cover well was the comings and goings of Blackmore's Night members, but I found a cool family tree on DPAS that covered all that. The Clapton one was ok, but as usual Eric's book left me feeling there could have been a whole lot more in it. Besides the Blackmore, the Black Sabbath book covering the Ozzy band and Dio years is also the best band book I've ever read. Hilarious too.

John, which book of Sabbath did you read? I recently purchased the Sabbath book written by Garry Young Sharpe. but that one covered the non Ozzy years. (80-96)
