• Mmmmm....yeah,I wonder who?? :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    From Lee's MySpace:

    InfluencesStevie Wonder, Glenn Hughes, Mica Paris, Philip Lynott ,Paul Rodgers, Steve Marriott,Steve Ellis, John Waite, Dan Reed Network
    Sounds LikeAlways been compared to Glenn Hughes

    Aaahh,all is revealed ;)

    Sounds good :thumbup:

  • I saw the band Pride, that Lee sang for, play local pubs and clubs in the Cannock area a few times. The band's guitarist, Dave, is a good friend of mine and I have a copy of their CD. When I played it I kept thinking that Trapeze must be an influence, not just in the singing but in the playing. When I suggested this to Dave he said that he'd never heard Trapeze. Must be something in the water around here that makes people sing and play like this.

  • Those of us who love Glenn's voice (:p) will LOVE Lee Small's new solo album Through The Eyes of Robert Lees.

    I first heard Lee's voice on Tom Galley's Psychofantasy and actually thought it was Glenn on vocals; they both have a very similar style.

    I've played the album constantly since I got it the other day. Check out some of the songs from the album on his MySpace profile at http://www.myspace.com/leesmall and let me know what you think.

    :thumbup: :clapper:

    'You thought that you could take me for granted, but I couldn't take it no more. Better run if you see me coming ... '

  • Thank you John,
    I can't say how sorry I am we didn't get to do the planned shows, I so looking forward to them & I know how much they meant to Mel ..
    We have all lost one of the best ever ...
    "see you in my dreams" ...

    ...................................................................................................

    Shirl, - you are a Star*, thanks for all your support dear x

    Well on a Positive note, as Shirl mentioned ,I have this new record out, my first solo effort ever!,
    It took a while getting it out, but I am proud of all of it,
    If anyone feels like adding it to their collection,
    It would be so appreciated,
    take care, Lee

  • Anyone familiar with him? Check out this track:
    [ame='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP2kBu--9Po']Lee Small - The Captain's Quarters - YouTube[/ame]

    I was impressed with how much he sounds like Glenn :)

  • That is indeed a great track.
    It's from Lee's new album Jamaica Inn.

    The album sounds in places like Glenn's album Blues and Trapeze.
    Further worth to mention are Shine A Light and Voyager.
    That last one is a cover from the band Gamma (Ronnie Montrose). One of my all time favourite tracks. It's staying close to the original.
    All though I think the original is better, I love this one also.

  • Lee has the following live appearances lined:
