  • Hello boys and girls!
I'm still under the spell of the last night's fantastic concert in Sofia, Bulgaria! :clapper:
It was beautiful, it was amazing, it was unforgettable!!!
Glenn sang like a god in front of a huge crowd that loved him!! The sound was perfect!
I was in tears when Glenn sang This Time Around a cappella!!
Every time I see him perform live I am overwhelmed with emotions, I am filled with energy and live with the memory of the show, which helps me surmount any difficulties!!

Pictures will follow soon, I hope! I'm not ready to upload them yet! ;)

  • I want to express my special thanks to Dani, who helped me be just next to the stage so I could hear and see everything that was happening on this wonderful evening!

Thank you, Dani, for being so generous!!!

  • That was really an amazing concert. The best thing about it was that there were a lot of people. I read in Standart newspaper that there were 30,000 people..well, I am not sure if they were that many :) However, the audience was perfect :)

Thank you, Glenn for the fantastic show you made!

And of course, thank you DANI !! you are great!! :) we all love you very much!! :p

Oh, and I went to see Glenn at Slavy's Show.. He was singing Mistreated more than 10 minutes in front of 40 people !! :) I will never forget that :) and again I had the opportunity to talk to him and see what an amazing person he is :)

    love u, Glenn

  • Glenn Hughes Sings with Maria Ilieva at
    The Standart's 15th Anniversary

The legendary musician from the Deep Purple rocked the square
in front of the National Palace of Culture

"It was a real pleasure to me to sing in duet with Maria Ilieva, she is an exceptionally talented singer," said Glenn Hughes after his duo with the Bulgarian star on the occasion of the Standart's 15th birthday. The show in Lebeda (The Swan) restaurant was attended by representatives of the Bulgarian media, political and business elite. Hughes and Maria Ilieva performed the "You Are Not Alone" hymn dedicated to the Bulgarian medics who were rescued from Libyan prison in June.

Two hours earlier, Hughes rocked the square in front of the National Palace of Culture. Thousands of Bulgarians from all over the country joined in the event which was The Standart's present for Sofia and its guests and residents on the occasion of the newspaper's birthday.

Hughes appeared on stage several minutes before 7 p.m. and drove the audience crazy performing hits from Deep Purple's golden years. Famous Bulgarian musicians from BTR and Signal were warming up bands. The veterans of the Bulgarian rock were part of the Ecobulpack's Save a Tree campaign and The Standart's happening.

    Songs played included:

    Stormbringer
    Sail Away
    Might just Take Your Life
    Mistreated
    You Fool No One
You Keep On Moving/This Time Around

    Encore:
    Burn

It's quite natural that Glenn gets such a warm reception here in Bulgaria, since every trime he plays here he shows his love for his Bulgarian fans and friends, every time he performs at his best. The public always feels when someone is sincere and rewards him!!! ;)

    Glad you noticed this!!
