"SEARCH" Harrison strikes again!
David.
(I "went back" a few days on that paper's "Local News"
but I couldn't get back far enough, to that MG article.)
Mel Galley/Ken Grimley - front page of the Derby Evening Telegraph
-
-
The DPAS has entered another message in the Grollywood section about Mel and his impostor. No jokes about cheesy bald wigs either....it shows the front page of the Derby Evening Telegraph and sticks to the facts.
Getting the word out....the best solution for the problem! -
thats just completely weird way to end something like that... i guess, if it works out... everyone is happy

Thanks David, beat me to it
Bill, no guesses as to who sent them the fully story!
Or, who asked them to mention GHPG either! -
I've been following this story with a mixture of mild amusement and a lot of horror. This Grimley bloke is indeed a sad case, and I can't begin to imagine what it must have felt like for Mel.
However, Mel's calm & reasoned reactions only call for respect. In the same situation, I'd probably have chinned the bloke
Having had the pleasure of meeting the real Mr Galley at quite a few Trapeze gigs in the 70's, I always remember him as a nice, genuine guy who always took time out to talk to a bunch of spotty fans before & after the gigs. So his reactions to this just go to prove he's still a real gent (and still my favourite guitar player, 30+ years on....) -
... the word's certainly getting around

here's scan from the Derby Evening Telegraph. the piece was so big i couldnt fit it all in my scanner but you can work out the end of the missing words.
