France - GLENN headlines festival

    GLENN is now confirmed as the headliner for this year's RAISMES FESTIVAL in France.

    GLENN will perform on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH, 2007.





    This is a Prog/Rock/Metal open air festival held in the park of "Le Château de la Princesse d'Arenberg" in Raismes, close to the Belgian border of Northern France, and is the only French rock festival north of Paris.

    As GLENN has not played in France for 6 years, it will be a great opportunity for him to connect with his French fans.

    It is the 10th year of the festival, so the organisers are delighted to have secured GLENN as headliner for their anniversary year.

    My name is Philippe and I am one of the Raismes Fest promoters who have signed GLENN as headliner of the first day of the festival.

    I must say that we are proud and honoured to have such an artist on our bill. GLENN has played in France only 2 times: in 1995 and 2001. So this is a real event for us. I hope a lot of French, Belgian, Dutch and German fans will come and see him play.

    Je viendrai au festival aussi. Amsterdam - Raismes est une voyage de trois heures. Est-ce un festival dans le jardin du château? That would be a great setting!

    Salut Fedor! Tout à fait, le festival se déroule dans le parc du château.Si tu vas sur le site web ,tu pourras voir des photos de 2006 qui montrent bien l'ambiance du festival.Puisque tu es hollandais, as-tu remarqué que nous avons DELAIN le samedi, un groupe de chez toi ? Si tu fais le voyage (3 heures en effet) tu ne seras pas déçu de l'accueil.
    Fais-nous de la pub en Hollande, on en a besoin!
    Si tu préfères que j'écrive en anglais, dis-le moi.

    Hi Phil - thanks for the feedback. Well my French is really basic so perhaps English would be better... I will check out the 2006 pictures - thanks for that!. I only know the name "Delain", not their music. They will also play Fields of Rock in June (www.fieldsofrock.nl).

    These are the closest to the site. You can also bring your tent. There are camping facilities for 5 euros per day.

    The festival takes place in Raismes at the Princess d'Aremberg castle. The nearest big city is Valenciennes (5kms far). The nearest hotels are located in a place called "Valenciennes - petite forêt" (small forest in English).

    Well, it's time for another week end on the road...:bouncer:
    In fact on a plane and on the road this time as the festival venue is quite far from home (1100 kms...).
    We will be departing tonight.
