i gotta tell you i feel for glenn on this - they come in to his house -his white suit is gone - they stole his bass about 5 miles from me ( if its still around here and i see it im gonna snitch like there is no tomorrow ) good to see at least he got this back!!!!!!!!!

I love the glenn sound on these classic album, and this big hiwatt has a lot to do with this fantastic sound.

I think glenn try to get the same kind of sound with the mark bass and his custom manne bass.

But this vintage Hiwatt head has a unique sound!

This vintage amp will come in handy,
for the DP MK 3 reunion concert, featuring Glenn Hughes.

...and it's already got the correct information painted on it, too...

Would that mean that this was specifically "a DP robbery?"

for a Mk 3 reunion (if that's one of Mr. Renaissance's demands)
I could probably sew up a white satin jumpsuit, too.


PS.....Glenn recently said that his favorite color is emerald green.

I was watching the Cal Jam DVD last night and you can see the two Hi Watt behind Glenn as he plays. The nameplate is blacked out with what appears to be electrical tape but hearing the story about them recently made me key in on the amp faces. And of course you have the bird's eye view of the two heads on the cover of Made In Europe.

It is so cool to see that Glenn was able to get the amplifier back..now if someone only knew the whereabouts of a certain Fender Precision bass guitar....

That reminds me....It was often believed that the Gibson SG that George Harrison used in the Beatles for a time (it is seen in the video for "Paperback Writer" I think..) was long lost. George gave the guitar to Badfinger guitarist Pete Ham. After his death, Ham's widow supposedly sold the guitar at a garage sale not knowing its history. And that was where the story seemed to end until a few years ago. Pete Ham's brother John got the guitar and it disappeared under a bed for something like 30 years. He came across it and sold it at auction for some mind blowing amount of money.
