Anyone go to Rock the Boat cruise? How was it? Setlist? Any new stuff?

Rock The Boat

-
just got back
Glenn was in excellent form as ever - he is one of the few musicians who first made it big in the 70's who still gives 100% all the time...
Setlist (i'm not entirely sure of the running order-but this is about right):
Burn.
Might just take your life.
Sail away.
You Fool no one.
Soulmover.
Orion.
Mistreated.
Getting tighter.
You Keep on Moving.
the setlist had loads of Purple - which suits a mainstream rock audience well, although most people seemed have turned up primarily for "the voice", so Glenn could easily have thrown in a few more solo tracks and dropped some of the older material. I hope the next tour brings us loads of new stuff!!
General reaction was very positive - i think he impressed the existing fans and gained a few more.

Looks like the perfect set for the high seas - hope the crossing wasn't too rough on you
As you say, the solo tour is sure to bring us a bunch of brand new songs plus a quite a few more recent gems -
Yes, thank you PJ for filling inn the setlist - think you got it right too.. ..and nice meeting you.
Cool to see daddy play with his swedish friends
I totaly agree that he can involve more of his solo material.
Here are also some pix from the gig... -
Great pix asleire - thanks for sharing with us all - pleased to see they let your camera onboard
Everyone looks like they were having a good time -
Great pics, thanks a lot.

Thanks for pix...and thanks for setlist etc...good to notice that Carl Swann is still there! How was the new drummer?
T:) -
I think Sebastian Sippola did his job. I guess he was in the 7.th heaven according to his smiling look and enthusiasm.
Here are some more pix of the members and one by Glenn realy consentrated
"How do you feel" about daddys new hair?..
@rild -
It suits a man of his age very well.......

Thanks for the report, setlist, and great photographs!
So has Glenn started taking up "woodworking" in his spare time?
(Like the man even has spare time?)
Why was so much of the red paint "sanded" off the wood of the guitar?
Just worn off or what?
Or is that the next 'GHPG.net' contest:
What color should Glenn re-paint this guitar? -
Thanks for the setlist and wonderful pix!
Glenn's haircut just looks fantatstic, although I was a lilttle sceptical about he cutting his hear. Turned out great
Looking foward to his next album and tour! I cant wait -
I had a great time and Glenn thoroughly enjoyed himself.
The Fender bass guitar was actually borrowed and used as a spare after a few glitches with the first one.
I must say that I thought (from my point of view) that the organisation of the event was absolutely top class
Thank God the crossing was a smooth one!!

Thanks for answering the question about the guitar, I thought Big G had fallen on hard times playing a Squire Jazz Bass from Fender's budget range. Must admit it had me wondering!
Thanks,
John -
Excellent pics Arild, and nice meeting you too. Go out and buy some Trapeze :)!
Rob - nice to meet you too, hope the journey home went well - and I agree the organisation of the event was good - only bad point was that bloody tannoy in my cabin informing me I was almost in Fredrikshavn - not essential info at 6am on sunday morning!! Congrats on the win by the way - looks like your lot will get 4th spot now - they deserve it - one of the best footballing sides this season.
More pictures are now available on the festivals main site. The direct link is http://www.rocktheboat.no/images/galleri03/index.htm
