as he shares a cell(not literally!) with Gary Glitter at the moment, i think he should be banished from any discussion as a mark of respect to his victims.

I´M A BIG FAN OF JUDAS PRIEST. DAVE HOLLAND PLAYED ON THIS ALBUMS:
-BRITISH STEEL
-POINT OF ENTRY
-SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE
-DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH
-TURBO
-PRIEST LIVE
-RAM IT DOWN
HE WAS REPLACED BY SCOTT TRAVIS IN PAINKILLER ALBUM.
-
Yep - I can't imagine Dave Holland playing "Painkiller" - perhaps the change was simply because Priest changed their music style and Dave couldn't cope with that...?

Bobdelgatosbeard, Dave was a member of Trapeze....what do you want to do?.....rewrite history? I'm not positively certain he was all that guilty........as for Gadd that's a different story!
-
i saw Priest with Holland on drums 25 years ago but he was found guilty in a court of law......unlike the Muslims at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba!!

OK folks, it's alright to disagree, but please take any beefs off-line and away from the forum - this is a place for the music.
In this case, let's stick to the music aspects OK.
Cheers.

You were right. Jerklund. Dave Holland playing on Judas Priest's "Painkiller" album would be like Chad Smith playing on Iron Maiden's "Dance of Death". Both drummers are more funk-rock musicians than metal players.

Didnt Dave played on the DEP sessions demos? When I got that boot cd it seemed like a great line-up. Too bad Holland is history now...
-
He was later replaced by Jimmy Copley.

Oh we're gonna go there are we? Well mate!!! Your country's a coalition partner as well!!!! I think Dave might have been railroaded......:D -

No politics here ok guys - if you want to discuss it further amongst each other, take it offline.
Last warning, thanks.

Mistreated pointed out the albums... He didn't actually play on Ram It Down though, although he's credited and did the Ram It Down world tour... it was all drum machine on that one. Supposedly Dave Holland left the band in 1989, meaning he wasn't fired... Could have been tired of being just a hired gun after 10 years in the band... also I believe he had some ill family member he had to take care of.

According to KK’s book Dave left, he was fed up.
