Trapeze LIVE Footage?

    Hey Chustler, I was there! Great gig. I live about 2 miles from the place. What's the content of the footage like and how much is there?

    Unfortunately, they closed the Robin about 18 months ago but JBs just up the road is as good, that's where we saw Glenn last year.

    John, it was shot with a hand-held videocam (definitely not a pro-shot!). I haven't viewed it for quite some time but I think my friend Will Johnston had to help boost the audio with a cassette recording to make up for the limitations of the built-in mic on the camera. I sent Fedor at Glenn's website some photos from that show a couple of years back and he posted them for awhile (don't know if you remember seeing them?)

    I' sure that few people have one or more videos from the 70's. Why they still not share it ? If the earth explode now, we will not die in peace. Please make justice ! Trapeze fans wants videos ! tell it everywhere you can !

    I have and audience shot video of Trapeze Live at Snoopys in Cannock 27/03/92. Its the whole show. Its watchable but not something you would watch on a regular basis.

    Here is the info I have on it. We had tickets to see them at the Robin in Brierley Hill, but the gig was cancelled on the night. Had to wait until '94 before we got the chance again. I have some excellent front of stage photos of both those nights.

    Whoo hoo!!! I was in the second row at this show. I was just down and to the left of whoever shot this. I have the whole show that this clip came from.

    At the 4:56 mark, you'll see in the bottom right corner for a nano second, a flash of a white t-shirt. That is Glenn's friend and roadie Andy Atwood, who passed away a while back. As the stage turns and faces away from the camera, you can see Andy crouching down behind the cabinets ready for action :D RIP Andy.

    I thought Glenn should have 'toughed-it-out' with Trapeze... I was really bummed out by his decision to join Purple....I think Trapeze would have gone on to bigger and better things... I really thought it was 'the end' for Trapeze... I was glad Mel soldiered on with the band... Hot Wire was a 'valiant' attempt to recreate the sound they had with Glenn but it was never really the same without Glenn... :(

    Couldn't agree more. The reaction in the Black Country at the time was that Glenn had let us all down by going off to Purple and leaving Mel & Dave in the lurch. There were boycotts of Purple gigs at Wolverhampton Civic at one point, if memory serves...

    Hindsight's a great thing, but if Trapeze has stayed together in '73, they might have conquered the world :cool:
