  • Hey that's great news - thanks David! Already looking forward to that one, hope they'll visit Holland. I only saw the RHCP once but that was like a few minutes back in 1989, when I didn't even know it was the RHCP... It's about time I see them in concert!

    peace

    - Fedor

  • Glenn would be great as support!

I really hope I can get tickets for this and I hope they play an outside venue, I don't think they'd be as good in an arena.

They were amazing at Hyde Park in 2004. Can't wait for Stadium Arcadium

  • I believe that Hyde Park is in the frame again around the middle of June- or so I'm told!
I'll certainly be there as it's the week after Sweden Rock- actually, they've not announced the 3rd headliner yet for Sweden, so you never know! We can only hope! Come on Soul Mover- give us some more hints, you're so good at them!
    :D

  • I saw two of the Hyde Park shows, and I had a great time, so I hope I can get to see a show or two on this tour and Im quite looking forward to hearing Stadium Arcadium aswell! Foo Fighters are playing Hyde park in June, with Motorhead and Queens Of The Stone Age, so I hear, and I would love that too! With new albums and great gigs, its gonna be quite a summer! I shall be listening out for announcements of support acts, Glenn would be great, I'd finally get to see him live, which is something ive been waiting for too long! Any chance of that happening? ;)

  • UK dates have just been anounced, they are:

    June 30, Ipswich, Portman Road
    July 2, Coventry, Ricoh Arena
    July 3, Reading, Madjeski Stadium
    July 5, Derby, Pride Park
July 6 , Sheffield, Don Valley
July 11 and 12 at Manchester, Evening News Arena
July 14, 15, 17 and 18, London, Earls Court Arena

Tickets go on general sale on Feb 17th.

I guess I'll try and get standing tickets for one of the Earl's Court shows... It's a shame they're playing EC instead of Hyde Park. I'm not very keen on huge stadiums... oh well...

  • I would love to go to one of the earls court shows, and its quite easy to get to, as its right across the road from the tube station, but it will be a complete nightmare for people trying to get home by train. Still, i would love to go!

  • Wuhoo ! My first post ! Christmas Fairy, are you in York ? You could always go to the Sheffield Don Valley show. I've just bought my ticket for that today ( bought one for my nephew aswell, I'm such a good Aunty ;) !) From what I've read, the support band is !!! (pronounced chk chk chk apparently), hope they get a better reception than Chicks on Speed did !!

I take it you're a fanclub member then? I hope the standing tickets at EC don't sell out
before I can get at them! :(

  • Hi Beese,

Yep, I'm a fan club member...are you ? Didn't know whether to go to Sheffield or Manchester, but I think the outdoor venue did it for me, especially in summer  ( mind you, when I saw them in Manchester in June 04 it lashed it down :( !!).

Hope you get yer tickets for EC, some of the fan club members who've got pre-sales tickets have been allocated seating at the back of the arena  so I think you'll be ok !!

Yeah that's why I'm always a bit warey of pre-sales, but I would have thought that fanclub presales would let you get the good tickets!

getLive are going a presale tomorrow from midday, but I suspect that it'll be some section at the back going on sale (I made the mistake of buying them for a Metallica gig and being stuck with the worst seats in the house).

I really wish they'd go outside though, I don't like EC. I suspect they'll play the Isle Of Wight festival, which I've gone to every year since they brought it back, but this year the lineup looks awful so I don't think I'll go.

Well as there are 4 EC shows I should be able to get standing for one if I get them on the dot!

Hi, yeah im in York, until June 30th, then I go home to Hertford, as i'll be finished uni, and need to move out of my house, so Earls court will be easy to get to from home! If the UK shows had all been in june, then I might have thought about Sheffield, but such is life. I hope i'll get tickets at some point, though have just paid rent, and cant afford it at the mo! Hope everyone who wants tickets gets them! I also hope !!! get treated better than Chicks On Speed, people were really nasty to them, there was no need! anyway, enjoy Sheffield!:bouncer:

Thanks ! I'm sure I will, hope you get tickets to one of the Earls Court gigs. Just heard a rumour that Kaiser Chiefs might be supporting them at Sheffield aswell:confused: , but y'know what rumours are like.....

  • that would be interesting, i kinda like kaiser chiefs, they'd be entertaining if nothing else! I would prefer Hard-fi tho, ive seen them twice and they are amazing live, my housemates and I liken richard archer to a caged animal, as he sometimes looks a bit possessed! Anyway, back to the point, Id really like to go to the second earls court show as its a weekend, and timewise would be easier, but i'll see what happens! should do some work before my lecture now, bye bye!
