So what do y'all want for Christmas
Topping my list aside from the Porsche and Mansion include a couple of musical DVD's from Journey and Rush plus a couple pint pots of Newcaste Brown Ale Ice Cream and a nice box of Ghiradelli chocolate and last but not least my HEART pass for the 2006 Summer tour and as many GH shows as my airmiles will get me to!
That'll do me 'til Easter :p
All US members of "The Airport Patrol"
want a list of airports and flight numbers.
Newcaste Brown Ale Ice Cream !! looks good!!:D
I want...Freak Flag Flyin' and Music From Planet Marsh !!!
Please daddy, I'll be good girl, so...
for X-mas...hmm not much...just these mini-LP CDs...
Come Taste The Band, Stormbringer, Burn and Made In Europe...
I want a GH signature edition bass, but that's way too expensive.
I'd like a season pass to my local concert venue! Hmm, unlikely...
I'd like to see everyone lay off wishing for Ritchie to rejoin Purple. (It wouldn't work out. Just enjoy the DVD's that are out there.)
I would like to hear an announcement that Gary Moore is guesting on Glenn's new album, or vice versa.
I want a Red Ryder Range Model air rifle, with a compass in the stock.
Oh, and peace on Earth.
A few things I wish for is for my family to be safe and happy. Continued health to my elderly mother. A safe voyage for my girlfriend to Canada and then back to Spain.
Another wish is to have record labels stop issuing expensive foreign CDs with bonus tracks and to treat all international music fans equally regarding that issue.
grace the question was "what do you want"- not all your gonna get -todd -that rifle sounds good
I want a HUGHES / COVERDALE CD.
Filled with spectacular HUGHES / COVERDALE harmonies.
(Adjustments can be made to each song, based on the
high-low voice range that these two gentlemen have NOW.)
I want it to have a few HUGHES / COVERDALE ballads........
and a few industrial-strength HUGHES / COVERDALE rockers.
Finishing up the song list, a HUGHES / COVERDALE knock down,
drag 'em out, can you top this duel. OOPS, I mean duet.
And as a bonus track, a brand-new version of (yep, you guessed it)
"You Keep On Moving" originally written by (yep, you guessed it)
HUGHES / COVERDALE.
Oh. And a great photo of my two favorite "Purple Boys"
HUGHES / COVERDALE laughing and/or smiling, on the cover.
And a bottle of Chanel No. 22
( Axes optional.)
Grace..that sounds like a great CD! Perhaps they could title the CD *speaks in a faux Richard Burton accent* "Dahling"...hahaha *nudge nudge wink wink*
You want to hear something funny...Glenn does this hysterical imitation of DC's adopted upper class accent. Keep in mind that David grew up in the North of England and had a distinctly northern patois. Glenn tells of his first meeting with DC and how David's acccent changed over time....
Although, to be fair....I am sure that when Glenn goes home to Cannock, the Brummie inside him rises to the top in short order!!
Stick with the bunny suit....you'll shoot your eye out!!
And make sure the kitchen door is secure when you serve Christmas dinner...or you will be eating Chinese take out!!;)
I have heard Glenn's imitation of DC on a 2000 audio interview with an Italian journalist. The interview is on this site. Hilarious!!
I'd like a season ticket for Liverpool FC (won 3 - 0 to my home town today)
... and for the postman to bring the letter telling me I've got the job I'm waiting for ... or to be Glenn's PA
... and a home PC that likes me
... and for Glenn to tour the US :p
... and for Aussie Mike not to have a heart attack when Glenn walks on stage in his home town
... and for Grace to put that axe down once and for all
... and for some Paul Smith perfume, cos I've none left
... and for Santa to bring a Softail or Heritage (or 883 Sportster, I'm not fussy)
... and for Glenn to have the most rewarding year ever
... and for God to change his mind about taking my sister-in-law and my uncle so soon ...
... and for all you guys to stay safe, happy and healthy
All I really want for Christmas this year is...
more time in each day,
a winning lottery ticket, and
most of all, a divorce (or to borrow Grace's axe)
My Christmas wish would be for;
Being able to live somewhere that isn't seemingly so deep in the bushes....and closer to the bright lights.
A new job that isn't a source of frustration...
Spending some time with my family..:)
And getting to see Glenn in the States this coming year...and the resulting gathering of GHCP's!!
A Glenn Hughes funk album or one in a vein similar to feel, the way it is, incense n peaches.........I can but dream!!
