FUSED - Sneak Preview + Cover

  • Quote from David

I dig those cool white boots, he had those on in Maui a couple of years back

.....and also in the booklet photos for "Return Of Crystal Karma."

    I'm surpried though, at how beat up Glenn's red guitar looks;
(missing paint down to the wood) is that his favorite or what?

Too bad that they weren't smiling in any of the photos.....
......they remind me of "The Brothers Grimm."
C'mon guys - SMILE for the camera.

Wow! I didn't know Glenn had so much jewelry!!!!
So will Glenn's "Ringo Collection" be the prizes in the new
    GHPG.NET competition? ;)

Thanks for the great photographs, David,

    - from the winner of the "Most Annoying GHCP Contest"

  • I don't think smiling would really suit the image though Grace. The music will be grim heavy metal, so cheesy grins would do the boys no favours.

It reminded me of something though. I remember when I went to see the Sabbath reunion with Ozzy at the NEC, when I got back my grandma asked if I'd "had a nice time". I told her it was a great show but when she saw photos she was shocked that:

    A) Sabbath didn't wear dinner suits or at least nice matching outfits

    B) The audience were STOOD UP

    C) She finished by commenting Geezer Butler looked like he needed "a damn good wash".

    Each to their own

So now we know where you get your "smarts" from, huh?
Your grandmother sounds like "a piece of work."
She was probably right about GB needing a bath, too

PS.....Glad that you had a lovely time attending the recital
of current popular music; wearing a suit and tie, no doubt.

Take care, James, and say hello to your "Gram" for me.......

  • The above promo shots of Tony & Glenn were taken in London recently by photographer John McMurtrie. John is a music photographer who worked with Tony last year on some promo shots at the time of the release of The 1996 DEP Sessions and has an extensive portfolio of magazine cover shots available to view at his website www.picturedesk.co.uk

GLENN and Chad Smith were in London last night, attending the Metal Hammer award show, where Tony and Geezer Butler picked up the Spirit of Hammer award for Black Sabbath. The Golden Gods event, which is in its 3rd year, was held at the Astoria and was attended by the likes of Motorhead’s Lemmy, Zakk Wylde, Anthrax, Lost Prophets, plus members of Slipknot and HIM amongst others. GLENN and Chad, fresh from two fantastic shows in Holland, were watching the show from the balcony before Chad headed down to present the Sabbath award. Tony was also on hand to judge the winners of the Air Guitar competition! The awards are going to be televised on UK channel, ITV1 on Wednesday, July 6th at Midnight!

Also, the full version of the lead track Dopamine is now available to listen to HERE  As with all of the tracks on the album, Dopamine was written by Tony & Glenn along with producer Bob Marlette and features Kenny Aronoff on drums. The full album will now be available on Monday, July 11th in Europe and Tuesday, July 12th in the USA.

At an awards show like this (after Glenn's Black Sabbath-inspired work with Tony of: Seventh Star, the Dep Sessions, and Fused) not even to be invited on-stage......

    GLENN WAS IN THE BALCONY?

.....and I agree "GLENN HUGHES NEVER BELONGS IN THE BALCONY!"

You have no idea how angry I am at this situation.
    Well, maybe you do.
    (You're a GHCP too, right?)

    Just wait............
until all these people go out to buy the new Tony Iommi album,
and discover that it's a Glenn Hughes album, instead.

    BALCONY......MY - - -.

  • FUSED - The brand new album from rock icon Tony Iommi, featuring Glenn Hughes on vocals.

Legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has joined forces with former Deep Purple vocalist Glenn Hughes for his latest studio album Fused.

Fused is a hard-hitting, majestic record and contains some of the best material Tony has ever written. 10 tracks in total built around those trademark guitar riffs that helped to make Black Sabbath the household name it is today.

Tony last recorded with Glenn on the 1996 DEP Sessions album and was happy to do so again. "Glenn came over to England and we did a trial run writing more material and it was unbelievable. His enthusiasm is amazing. He is so full of energy and great song ideas." The album also features drummer Kenny Aronoff, and was produced by Bob Marlette.
