Ok, so the new Iommi/Hughes collaboration is apparently a Tony Iommi solo album, with Glenn guesting on it. I noticed the song "Grace" in the track listing. Could this be a reworking of the Shape 68 song GH wrote a couple years ago?

Hello Todd,
Just curious as to where you got this information from...I checked Tony's website and didn't find it there.... As for "Grace", one can only speculate. I guess we have to wait for the release to find out...or do we???;)
The closest Soul Sirkus came to me here in H-burg AKA "The Sticks" was the DC area...God, I need to move!!The nearest large cities that might attract any major acts are Richmond (150 miles southeast) and Washington DC (a good 2 1/2 hours away). So what's the story..do I pack up and move to Vegas?? Hey..I can take the heat since I used to live in San Antonio!
All sorts of cool things in store this year!! -
There's a link to the press release over at www.blabbermouth.net in today's news updates. The album will apparently be called "Fused", and will be released July 12th on Sanctuary.
Cheers...Todd -

Fantastic news.
Lets have those live dates please.
Hey Grace, It looks as though Glenn wrote one specially for you. -
First, Todd, I read your post.
Then........I fainted.
When I recovered, I followed your suggestion
and went to: www.blabbermouth.net
I had to type Glenn's name into "Search News"
because this article is already in the old-archives
section. (Only today - April 26th is "new" news.)
I read the article, and the list of song titles.
I cannot believe that this is true.
Totally, totally, can not believe this.
(Snappy posted opinion from our John H, too.)
This cannot possibly have anything to do with me.
This opinion is backed up by the fact that nobody
asked for a picture of me for the album cover........
Does anybody know what Glenn's Mom's first name is?
Or that he has a favorite cousin, or something?
Meanwhile.....I am in total shock.
Yours truly,
Track Number 5 -
Cool - is it going to be called an Iommi album, or Iommi/Hughes or what?
JG -
Hey, Paul, all e-mails posted to "Grace" should be
fowarded to:
"The Home for Those in Total Shock."
There was a song in the set-list of the "Shape 68"
appearance in California (2 years ago?) but.......... -
hey grace do you think "grace" is a song glenn wrote about you waiting at the airport for him?
-
grace i may be able to see glenn yet(not just at the airport- the italian meatball sandwiches suck there )
-
Nope.
-

Apparently track 5 is about an axe-carrying stalker Glenn has
-

Yes, Paul, this is correct.
But I can't think of many lyrics that rhyme with "ax" or
"airport" or "stalker" so Glenn must have worked pretty
hard to be able to finagle these words into a snappy song.
However, if this song doesn't have the same melody as
"You Keep On Moving" then our boy will be in BIG TROUBLE.
Seriously, I'm still in major shock that this song will be on
the new album......................
Grace -
Hey Todd,
My only excuse is that I'm still in shock (see my above posting)
but I just realized that the new album will be called: "FUSED."
Kinda, sorta like........."THE FUZE."
(I wonder if that's where Glenn and Tony got the idea from?)
-
Nice one Shirean - just heard your request for "Dark Star"
I'm really looking forward to hearing the new Iommi songs with Glenn - any minute now

Oh boy, GLENN was right - this is HUGE!! Just heard the first of the 4 tracks, I Go Insane - it starts slow and builds and builds and then bursts out with every Iommi riff you've ever heard and lots you haven't
Glenn is sounding like he belongs in a stadium with thousands in attendance and it was great to hear his bass lines throughout the song - this one track has proved everything he eluded to - looking forward to hearing the others - but this sounds like a timeless masterpiece to me - roll on July 12th -
I missed them!!:(
