Quiet Riot UK dates....

  • Following right alongside GLENN's UK tour dates in February 2005 - Quiet Riot, will be playing a few gigs there and at most of the same venues!

They will commence their 2005 World Tour in England, where the group has not performed in 20 years, with the following dates:

    February 11th - Bradford, UK - Rio
February 12th - London, UK - The Underworld
February 13th - Nottingham, UK - Rock City
    February 14th - Dudley, UK - Jb's

Additional tour dates for Europe will be announced shortly.

This isn't strictly off topic because, as you know, lead vocalist, Kevin DuBrow, is prominently featured on Glenn's DVD release, Soulfully Live In The City Of Angels.

  • ...and isn't Frankie Banali with Quiet Riot again - he used to be one of the drummers of Hughes & Thrall - Quiet Riot is Glenn Hughes family tree band, that's for sure! :)

  • And of course, Quiet Riot's Rudy Sarzo played bass in Glenn's old Deep Purple band mate David Coverdale's band Whitesnake...alongside Tommy Aldridge, who drummed on the Hughes/Thrall tour.

  • ...and both Sarzo and Aldridge played on Ozzy's backing band......and Glenn is currently writing songs with Tony Iommi......

Jeez this rock world is very incestuous!!!

  • Don't know about that, but I hear Schnell was at the first Shape 68 show at Platinum Live in LA.

I can also tell you that Dio guitarist Vivian Campbell was in Glenn Hughes' ex-Deep Purple band mate David Coverdale's band Whitesnake at the same time as future Dio bassist Rudy Sarzo and former Hughes/Thrall drummer Tommy Aldridge...and that Vivian Campbell went on to form Riverdogs with Rob Lamothe, who later went solo and recorded two albums in recent years with guitarist Craig Erickson...who was of course the guitarist on Glenn's 'Blues' album back in the early 90's, as well as the touring backup guitarist for the Trapeze tour of '94. Whew!
