Now that the four GH shows are history, can somebody make a list of what was on each evening's setlist? I think it would prove interesting to see the different nightly changes, to those of us who weren't able to go to Bradford, Dudley, Cambridge or London. (boo hoo)
PS....Maybe Glenn sang "You Keep On Moving" because he loves that song as much as I do ????

Neither David or I wrote the set lists down...we were determined to soak up every minute of these shows...but did make somewhat of a mental note
so don't take this list as gospel
I'm sure Fedor will get the full & correct lists shortly, so that will be a more reliable source...or perhaps someone did note them down?

Thanks for all the info...for those of us who could not be there. You are our eyes, ears and spirit by extension.
Also..I am so glad to see Blue Jade in the set list..one of my all time GH fave tunes.
AAlso..any info for us gearheads would be extra-special(guitars,amps,mics...etc.)
Once again, THANKS!

The Bradford and Dudley ones are spot on Shirean....a slightly different order but everything there. How you remembered that I don't know....I had it written down! I'm a nerd, yes I know....
JG
"How can you lose, when you're destined to be a winner?" -
I'm a bigger nerd, then. I couldn't possibly remember all the songs from each gig, and certainly not in the correct order!
As Shirean says, I was soaking every second up. -
OK, the Nerds are out ! "Cant stop the flood"
came after "Beyond the Numb" and "First step of Love" after In My Blood and before "Higher Places" at the Mean Middler gig....I think. -
Wow! Isn't it so great to see DP songs are being minimized but Glenn's own songs from his solo albums are filling the show!
Glenn, you are now flying high over your own legend. -
i thought they played "wherever you go" at bradford also ??
-
Nope - I've got a boot of Bradford, and Wherever You Go definitely isn't there.
cheers

Thanks so much Shirean, and also everybody else who answered my question.....
not only smart, but fast, and accurate, too!!!!!
I wonder how GH selects what he sings - eliminate something too technical to produce live/
just because he wants to sing something / HIS FAVORITE GH SONG from an album, etc????????
PS.....But I still wish he had sung "Feels Like Home" for you Brits. -
Hi everyone
Still recovering from what was probably one of the best live performances I've seen ,ie Glenn's at the Mean Fiddler. I've loved his voice since Purple days and having had the opportunity to see him live for the first time I can only say he is better than I could have hoped for!
I keep playing his CDs in my car and its like having them all from new again as you can imagine the band playing them!! I can see why some 'youngsters' of today are showing more interest in the 'real' vocalists of a few years ago.
If I can remember correctly Gettin Tighter was toward the end of the main set at London and not an encore - I heard it and sadly had to leave for my train just as Seventh Star started, the first encore.
Just like to say what a great Forum this is and a valuable source of info - thanks to The Creators!!
Until the next time........ -
morjens,
yes, it's good to see a lot of GH stuff in GH's setlist. Was this due to fact that he was recording live album (was he? I asked his record label boss and he didn't know anything about that...????)or was it due to fact that time of DP covers is finally over? I think both arguments make sense - if he recorded live album, I'm sure he wants all royalties (not to mean that he is greedy, but all those DP covers are already recorded twice or more times...)
We've been discussing about these DP-covers for how long?? I can't even remember...anyway we've always agreed: GH should play more his own solo stuff. I think that because nowadays he can play DP stuff with Joe in HTP - he is "free" to play his own material. HTP is very good thing for us - and for Glenn and Joe. They have future there, which they can connect to their past.
Seeing Glenn's latest setlists made me very happy - even though I didn't see him live this time around...I can still imagine how excellent those shows were...can I?
Happy Halloween,
T
