So I'm sitting on the side of the stage at Sunday's Snake and Scorps show....and David has just left the stage. This guy starts talking about DP and Burn...and Cal Jam...talks about the huge stage and begins to sing the riff to Burn then starts talking about how great the Burn album is. I chime in with "and how about that great second singer on there Glenn Hughes??" It's instant deer in the headlights what the hell are you talking about time. This guy had no idea who Glenn is/was....I just can't believe someone could be that into Burn and not be aware of the second voice's name. God at least the guy behind us knew what I was talking about. I've told many non DP folks about the greatness of GH...but I've never encountered someone who likes Burn who's never freaking heard of GH?????? Gimme a Break!!!!!!!!!!

They're everywhere I'm afraid. On the Coverdale board not so long back, a woman posted who I suspect was a "fan" more down to the image of 87 Whitesnake than the music. After the "Judgment Day is a blatant Kashmir rip off" argument had died, she comes on the board and announces the Puff Daddy/P Diddy did a song with Jimmy page called "Come With Me" that has a background riff that sounded just like Judgment Day! Oh dear....

Too bad that this DP "fan" never asked himself,
"Gee, I wonder who the other candles are?"
