This might be fun everyone...
If a tribute CD was made dedicated to the songs Glenn has either written or performed throughout his career;
1. Which Vocalist would you pick?
2. Which song would you have them sing?
3. and Why?
I would pick Ann Wilson of Heart to sing I Don't Want To Live That Way Again. Her voice is so strong on those emotional high notes and rocks where it needs to during this tumultuous song.
How about you - who do you think should do what and why?

Tribute CD to Glenn

Hy man....nice topic !!
Well,I called the Mr.Ronnie James Dio for this,I think his voice it's unreal and he will make a greatfull job singing "This Time Around" or another song more powerfull like "Burn".
Long Live Rock'n'Roll !!
See ya, -
I think I would pick Tony Martin and I would have him sing "why don't you stay" because he's probably one of the few vocalists that could sing a Glenn Hughes song and he has a very powerful voice.

Very difficult to imagine Glenn songs being sung by another..Dio is a good choice for the really loud-rockin' stuff..
Maybe Paul Rogers for the more mellow tunes..
Sebastian Bach is a pretty fair screecher, too..
Any more ideas?

It would be an absolute travesty if Stevie Wonder was not included in such a project. There are many Glenn songs he could more than do justice to but my choice would be Coast to Coast.
Also wouldn't it be great if Gary Moore could put all the past bitterness behind him and take the opportunity to build a few bridges? -
john lawton sing often in live gigs "you kill me"
and just listened two days ago robin mc auley to sing "can you get it up ?" from max magagni cd.
he sang in different style.
very melodic song with him.

Morning Shirean - How are you and David doing? Hope all is well for you guys. Shirean....GREAT IDEA!! You always come up with the coolest concepts Shirean reguarding our MAN Glenn. OK, here we go....
I'm not sure if you are familular with a band called Kansas but, the singer in that band (STEVE WALSH) is a very good singer and I always wondered how it would sound if he did a remake of Glenn's song "BIG TIME". Now, please note that Steve dont sing as well as he once did but, I still would like to hear him sing "Big time". If you listen to some of his music like Kansas - "Leftoverture" or Steve's solo cd with Steve Morse..."Schemer Dreamer" you will hear what was once a GREAT singer(but, not as great as Glenn)hehe...Anyway, thats my pick Shirean
Yours, Joe "Bolin")

great thought ,but now one in the world could sing GLENN, love to here coverdale sing GLENN
-
I had to immediately agree with the suggestion of Stevie Wonder doing some of Glenn's tunes..(This Time Around, Will Our Love End?, What Is A Womans Role..etc..) There are soo many that he would do justice..He's been such an influence on Glenn's music..Great idea!! Why didn't I think of that?

Here are a few names that would intrigue me: Jorn Lande of Ark and Millenium fame. He is a guy to watch in the future. A great voice in the vain of Coverdale but a style of his own when he wants to. Mats Levin of Dogface and Malmsteen fame is also good. Rob Lamothe could do some justice to Glenn's music. He is one of the best voices most people havent heard. If you haven't-do yourself a big favor and check out his work. Very Paul Rodgers-like. Richie Kotzen's another guy that can sing. Just a few names to stir the pot with
