Do you recognize the person in back, on the far left, in this picture from 1989?
This is a great Japanese fan site, with lots of facts and figures about the band, Spellbound. Translation isn't perfect, but is more than understandable

You have to take a look for more than a second to realise it's not Mr Vai!
You do bring us some great links Paul, thanks. -
Hi. Paul, Shirl
This posting is my debut on GHPG.net Fan Forum.
Thank you for visiting my website.
JJ's guitar plays with Spellbound have different feeling from the works with Glenn.
That's interesting. Check it out!
I got this photo from Hans Froberg (vocalist of Spellbound, The Flower Kings) .
Because this is a precious photograph, I want many people to see it.
I'm so glad to be make a link to my website from here.
But
Please do not take out images from my website.
I forbid to take any images to other sites.
I wrote some points to notice in Japanese, so you couldn't read it?
I'm sorry in poor English.
Thank you. -
Welcome, Momo,
The picture fooled me, too.
I never made the connection that it was JJ.
You have a great website, and an excellent
level of English.
Plus, there are other GH fans from Japan,
who will also welcome you here.
Thanks for posting, and when you read "GHCP,"
it means that you are a Glenn Hughes Crazy Person ! -
I figured out it was JJ...how is it he looks a lot older in that picture than he does now?
John -
He must be copying Glenn's fitness routines!
Welcome aboard, Momo - yet another GHCP to spread the word. -
Almost a year ago I acquired these two Spellbound albums. I forgot about them until recently. The black & white photo is used on the inner sleeve of the Breaking The Spell album. The other two photos of just JJ are from the back covers of each album.
(I noticed the b&w photo pixelates when clicked, but looks ok when viewed actual size.) -
Ah, lovely, those 1980s artworks...
... and haircuts! -
For those interested: Spellbound have an official myspace site!
Cheers,
Christian -
Hi,
Do you know this album?
This is "Spellbound", the collection of unreleased songs released in 1997.
It's quite nice! -
Never seen it, Momo!
Looks very much like a bootleg though.
The photo on the back insert is hilarious!
Cheers,
Christian -

i think it inspired Justin Hawkins! -
Looks very much like a bootleg though.

This book will be a great guide if you learn about Swedish HR/HM deeply.
I love back insert photo, too! -
Here's a rare Spellbound clip... "Lovetaker" (1984), from JJ's new YouTube channel
