As much as we wanted to be in Vegas this weekend, our air miles couldn't get us there, so we had to settle with a hometown jam to tide us over....to do that we hung out at the local fairgrounds and caught one of our other favourites, Dave Meniketti, former lead vocalist and guitarist from the infamous SF Bay Area band, Y&T...checkout the pictures below and an audio clip to see wotcha' missed
Cheers....
A Meniketti kind of Day!!

Ahh thanks for that Shirean! Love Y & T - caught them a couple of times in UK last year - Dave had a virus and was really quite poorly for the tour but looking forward to their return! Love all the boys though! Phil Kennemore is hilarious - it was a surreal moment being sat in a bar in Newcastle drinking black russians with him while he sang Rocky Racoon to me and I sang Jackie Wilson Higher and Higher to him! They have a new album out now - Facemelter - there is a new vid on their Myspace page too!

Thanks David , Meniketti is someone I admire very much , great player that always has a nice tone , his voice is awesome , he's down to earth and he's hard working .. writes some great tunes but yet he's pretty much flown under the radar .. and that I think is a real shame !

Fook me was watchin' this earlier... 10 years ago now man, feelin' old today

Saw Y&T also a couple of times.
A great band. Meniketti is a great songwriter / singer and guitarplayer.
The last time I saw him he had a bad cold, but did want to cancel the show. The encores were (almost) instrumental. The fans had to fill in the vocals.
If I'm not mistaken their drummer had broken his hand or arm the night before and played with one hand. Awesome.
On the 16th of October I will see them again, sadly without Phil Kennemore.
